Just a query I am a law student, so I am being taught in India that only the Shia's have muta or mutah marriage ,and there is no such thing as mutha marriage for sunni's.
Is this the same in Pakistan and Bangladesh....

I don't know where mutah came from but Nikah Misyar was a form of temporary marriage practiced in pre-Islam Arabia. In the early days of Islam it was permissible, especially when the Muslims just migrated to Madinah, but later on it was made impermissible. Most scholars believe that Nikah Misyar is no longer permissible...nor is mutah.

That show was made mostly by British Indians to portray British Pakistanis as an extreme stereotype. In the same way that the BBC show "Make me a Muslim" was made by a British Indian and showed Muslims as aliens with thick accents, wandering the streets of Britain in long Arabic robes.

Any community has good for nothing useless types, but the mainstream media goes to great lengths to highlight the positive aspects of minorities. Popular perceptions and stereotypes are directly affected by mainstream media.

P.S. In case there is confusion, I am not supporting the overt Arab look. I am suggesting that Pakistanis should make Urdu and Pakistani culture so vibrant and modern that there is no need to copy any other culture.
