this is not gud but its the reality now. i really liked how the gov behaved. they did their own investigation and didnt take any orders from india. also they are not in a state of denial. investigation is underway regarding the other evidence which india has provided us.

Don't think it's something official or confirmed. Only two newspapers reported that citing the same source - a bloody text message sent by Sherry to "Foreign News Source" yeah right. I see both media outlets wants to prove that the national security booboo they made earlier in labeling him as a Pakistani, by investigating some indian agents acting his parents, was actually factual, to eradicate the embarrasement they faced by destroyign their credibility.

Both media outlets actually wrote that "their earlier investigations proved he was a Pakistani", citing this "text msg" sent by govt. official to "Foreign media" ---- my Lord have mercy on me.

Even tho both media outlets also wrote that "there's no record of him, including his parents, in NADRA db". I mean what the hell, we know who runs GEO, but whats up with Dawn? has it standard went so low that it can't even investigate that anybody not in NADRA (even a minor is registered in Form 'Bey' that goes into db) is not a Pakistani?

Another fricking propoganda, as I don't see no other sources claiming that, specifically foreign, who are like vultures waiting for such news (if confirmed).

Anywhichway, confirm or not, it requires time to establish such claim and I think Geo and Dawn have acted (again) irressponsibly.

Sherry says Ajmal Kasab's is Pakistani ​

ISLAMABAD (January 07, 2009): Minister of Information and Technology Sherry Rehman on Wednesday said an investigation has revealed that the lone surviving Mumbai gunman is a Pakistani citizen, as India has alleged.

Up until now Pakistan had refused to confirm Ajmal Kasab's nationality, saying he was not registered in the country's databases.

Information Minister Sherry Rehman confirmed Kasab was a Pakistani in a text message but gave no other details.

The confirmation Wednesday comes a day after New Delhi handed over a dossier of what it said was evidence linking the Mumbai attackers to Pakistan.

The attacks in November killed 164 people and left nine of 10 gunmen dead. Pakistan has made some moves against groups allegedly linked to the attacks.

none of us is to be ashamed of anything. we are supposed to defend our country and thats wat we did untill things get clearer. same goes for the other evidence. untill those evidence provided by india are not being varified by our investigators, we will not accpet them. but once they are varified, u wont find us in a state of denial.

Pakistan seriously examining the information provided by India: FO ​

ISLAMABAD (January 07, 2009): Foreign Office on Wednesday said the information material received from India about Mumbai incidents was being seriously examined. In response to a query pertaining to Indian media reports, the Foreign Office spokesman said Pakistan remains fully determined to uncover full facts regarding the Mumbai incident and was cognizant of the need for establishing legally tenable evidence.

“Pakistan regrets the propaganda campaign unleashed by India to malign Pakistan. Blame game and political point scoring is counter productive and unacceptable,” he said.

The spokesman said terrorism is a pernicious problem afflicting South Asia, adding the pragmatic and responsible approach including cooperation between the relevant investigation departments was the imperative need of the hour to deal with Mumbai attacks and to prevent any such incident in India, Pakistan or elsewhere.

everlasting peace is only possible once we resolve our disputes which allows extremists in both the countries to spread hate amongst ppl.
i hope if involvement of ppl in pak is proved gov will do all wat is possible to make an eg out of them.

no need to be sorry brother. u defended ur country untill his nationality was being proved. there is a difference in denial and defence. denial is when something is being proved and u dont accept it but defence is when it is just an alligation and still needs to be proven. keep ur head high
