Strange thing is some people are a$$ burnt. Fact is India has been successfully operating ACs for over 50 years now. No country in Asia has that experience. Period. Tractors or trolleys, we are masters in that field, atleast in Asia.

Using tractor on carrier deck is clearly a joke and demonstrated the ignorance of the top level of IN. China maybe late but I bet its has more knowledge on operating a carrier than India. At least , china did not use farm land equipment for it carrier. Those tractor are big and tall, occupy precious carrier deck. Due to the tall height of the tractor, longer tow is needed. Therefore even complicating the whole carrier ops procedure and create potential hazard and danger on deck.

What is the best Aircraft carrier?
both are ex Soviet vessels, and undergone furbishment in Ukraine and Russia.

Liaoning Aircraft Carrier is Admiral Kuznetsov Class
While Vikramaditiya is a modified Kiev class carrier

And Liaoning plans to operate over 55 aircraft with J-15, Su-27k, Ka-31, Z-8
While vikramaditya plans to operate over 30 aircraft with Mig 29k, Ka-31, HAL Dhruv

And planned armament of Liaoning are,
- 4 x 18 cell FL-3000N (72 missiles)
- 3 x 30mm Type 1030 CIWS
- 2 x 240mm ASW launchers (10 barrels ea)
- 4 x Decoy/Chaff (24 barrels ea)

While Vikramaditiyas armaments are,
- 3 X 24 SA-N-9 SAM
- 4 X 32 CADS-N-1 SAM/CIWS
- 4 X AK-630 30mm CIWS
-2 X 12 ASW RBU-6000

And both carriers have 2 elevators.
And Liaoning can operate under 2,500crew and Vikramaditiya can operate under 2,000crew.

and about the displacement Liaoning has 65,000t and Vikramaditya has only 45,000t.

regarding which one is better i can comment only when vikramaditya arrives at one of our ports...

We used Carrier in War and won because of it when we bombed East Pakistan port.

So when you have experience in Operating AC in war time, I will take your advice and forward it to IN.

The tractors used in that "OLD" carrier of IN are the HMT 5911 model. It is atleast 5 times less heavy than the contemporary models of pushback vehicles. Uses half the amount of fuel, has same length and comes .... surprise surprise.... at 1/10th of the cost. This is called "improvisation".

You see, India is not USA. Plus, we were happy operating these so called less tech savvy equipments as we were the masters of sea in Asia. But with modern developments, we are moving to newst techs like in INS Vikramaditya.

You do realize Indian Navy is far better in Aircraft Carrier Operation. Again, used in war time, the same war when your nation even being neutral, gave ports to Pakistani ships.

Owing to its size China or US can use Sri Lanka as a stationery aircraft carrier too

yeah, pakistani ships got fueled by our ports, they stationed in our ports.
