UAE Armed Forces Announce Purchase of Five C-295 Airbus MW (Military Winglet) Transport Aircraft

The UAE Armed Forces has announced the purchase of five C-295 military transport aircraft and related services from the Spanish Airbus Defence and Space.

The purchase of the aircraft takes place within the framework of the directives of the wise leadership of the UAE to support and promote the comprehensive development of the Armed Forces in various branches and in line with the requirements of the Armed Forces, Major General Ishaq Saleh Al Baloushi, Head of the Executive Administration of Industries and Development of Defense Capabilities at the Ministry of Defense and Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Organising Committee for the Event for Operations said on the sidelines of Dubai Air Show 2017.

Thw C295 can be transformed into a tanker aircraft that is able to provide up to 6000kg of fuel to fixed and rotary wing receivers.

Airbus verkauft 430 Jets auf einen Schlag

Der Flugzeugbauer Airbus hat den größten Auftrag seiner Firmengeschichte an Land gezogen. Der US-Investor Indigo Partners kauft bei dem europäischen Konzern auf einen Schlag 430 Mittelstreckenjets aus der A320neo-Familie mit einem Listenpreiswert von umgerechnet 42,2 Milliarden Euro.
