Airbus is proposing the production (and design) of the new Beluga ( Beluga EX) which will be derived from A340-600 to TAI and THY Teknik (modification)! and the value of the project is 5 billion dollars!

Turkey already spends too much money projects like Altay MBT, T-129, F-35, Missile Defence, Milgem Project, TF-2000 Frigates, Cruise Missiles...

I hope, Turkish peoples tax money won't be wasted on unneccasery stuff like this...

Bro we are not buying it! we gonna produce it for Airbus !! and make money! + know how :)

Haha :) I guess this shows that I should read carefully before making comments right. The second I saw 5 billion, I lost it.

Where's the catch? it's hard to that Airbus would shift the production and the jobs from its member countries to Turkey for nothing. The German and French right-wing mongers will be mad as hell.

hard to understand why it is so supprising!? for many years TAI & TUSAS are already taking part in the designing and production process of vast variety of parts for both airbus and boeing!

It has massive capacity to carry tons of cargo. althoug it looks somehow ugly it is a very useful capable plane..

A newbie question : Can this beauty be configured to become an AWAC ? And does Turkey plan on inducting a couple of indigenous systems on this to make it an AWAC ?

Not lickly, I mean look at the shape its already much less Aerodynamic then a regular plane with that huge Cancer on its back and by mounting an AWAC Systems would mean it would not even fly strait. To risky...

good step, the beluga (A300) is too old and too small now, and +, airbus tends to keep up with boeing
