I think its fair, its not a war situation in Egypt and the amount of Indians living there does not justify a free ticket. Its only social unrest and in such situations its your choice whether to leave Egypt or not. India is providing them with priority flights but anything more is not required. Unlike what India did in Lebanon, similar action is not required here.

there are more than 30000 indians living in cairo alone, including the embassy personnels.can govt freely transport such a huge number of people??

Yes, I mean it, the situation there is no less than a War... Spend a Few Millions after all they are Indians and are a Source of Income for the govt, they cannot be Ignored and used to generate revenues for the Aviation ministry

What you say makes sense, I was not aware of the large number of Indians living in Egypt. This was not really a war like emergency situation and did not merit a free ride.
