Yes, but if it was successful, why want something else.. I just said, in MHO that is what India might have in mind for the Tejas, since it was not that of a success!

Tejas is a low end fighter for point defence which will replace mig21 while what now we're looking is to replace the medium catagory fighters.

Still there are limitations on G shock to the body and the whole package is restricted to 8g which is not that impressive. The maximum speed while not an issue in short term is known to take a toll on the initial versions of the place.
