Air Chief calls on Prime Minister Imran Khan

. . . .
As for the other nations (fed on meat), I'd have conceded 100%!!!! As for the Indians, based on the historical precedence, I have second thoughts....

The can rely on one scenario only. That they try to attack with too many fighters on different sectors in a hope they can intrude in to Pakistan, even if it is for a brief period and drop their bombs to massage their ultra egos.

The flip side is that they can lose many fighters in their stupidity.

We will procure new jets not sure from which country. British defence secretary here for three day long visit I hope we will procure European jet this time to Replace our mirages

Not going to happen, too many countries involved typhoon, it's sale is not that easy.

I think one country can make a deal we have great relationships with consortium partners should not be a problem. Then F21 left with rest of F16 with V upgrades.

. .
Future upgrades Of Jf17 is underConsideration , it includes Xtralarge wing span. But right now our focus is block II & III. In future with more powerful engine, some upgrades will happen after Block.III.
Never have all your eggs in one basket, we need to get a another range of aircraft.

I strongly doubt any further misadventures will take place before the elections, especially since the world heaped praise on IK AND GOP for de-escalating the entire conflict and showing proper restraint. Especially there would be no strike on a military installation given that would ve a blatant act of war. Many of their own senior defense analysts are saying India doesn't have the means and hence no political will to escalate the situation because it is not assured dominance and will suffer heavy losses. So i dont think there is value in rushing tondo anything hasty.

We have to remember that if PAF buys something tomorrow, doesnt mean it will be ready tomorrow. It will take 4-5 years for delivery, training and induction. Furthermore it will take at least 5 years beyond that to have a meaningful knowledge of the aircraft. It is not a quick process. To that end, i think it is not the right move for Pakistan to follow suit with India and buy expensive 4th gen fighters beyond the JF-17. I dont believe that J-10 brings enough to the table that is different from the JF-17 to spend tremendous capital on it to induct it, BUT i would advocate training the pilots of a few Mirage squadrons on the J-10 in china so that in the event of hostilities you can work a hot transfer with china and acquire 2-3 sqn of used J-10B/C in short order. In the interim i would dedicate my attention to a 5th gen fighter and further development of the JF-17 (perhaps targeting an upsized variant for block 4 which utilizes more tech from J-20 like radar and EOD/EOTS ect). I DOUBT tge PAF can afford typhoon in meaningful numbers but definitely it will be a match for Rafale and F-21. IF India reniggs completely on Rafale, i would maybe target 2 sqnd for more political reasons as well as the fact that it is likely superior to the F-21 in most respects.

Leasing aircraft for a temporary period would be a good option to consider, would give us a good experience of the ability of the aircraft at the same time readying our pilots for new aircraft induction.

Where would we lease aircraft from?
Who has spare aircraft parked up?
Where would the infrastructure for such aircraft come from, (pilots, munitions, spares, ancilliary equipment and training.)

Even if we ordered J10C today, it would be at least 2 years before a single J10C squadron could be stood up, China is going like crazy supplementing their 4th and 5th generation fleets, they will not give you a single plane from PLAAF inventory. China has major concerns with their own security situation vis a vis South China Sea. Immediate future lies in stepping up JF17 BLK3 development or picking up extra F16's, however much most members of this forum hate reliance on F16, it's the most credible and impactful plane in PAF inventory.
