Japan has the lowest productivity among G-7 nations, according to data from OECD Compendium of Productivity Indicators.

How is it that in Norway the common average working hours are only 37.5 a week hours compared to Japan's 60 hours a week yet Norway's productivity is almost twice as higher. Japan has low productivity therefore people are required to work 80 hours overtime per month. That's facts. That's also the reason why Japan has such a low fertility rate because they work so much.

The term "karoshi" translates to "death by overwork" in Japanese, and is a legal term recognized as a cause of death.

last in G7 and 21th in world is not at the buttom of the world ranking like claimed befor.. I guess we dont need to discuss about this point...

Norways high productivity has a very simple reason... OIL...
Luxenbourg high productivity simple ... it is/was EU´s tax heaven were many rich europeans park their money...

Japan has no natural resources to push its productivity numbers like Norway or is a tax heaven like Luxenbourg.

If the completion time of the projects are considerably prolonged, the cost will go up big time as well. unless you would like to cover the extra cost, investors won't be too happy.

Pakistanis have proven that they can deliver quality project on time if given the right circumstances. Just look at the Kirtarpur corridor.

who? some anti-China troll in Canada will pay expenses incurred by Pakistan? how old are you?
You clearly love China so much you should move there.
But be mindful to not break any of their rules, including going to any websites that the CPC does not approve of like PDF.

Its easy to sit in the UK and have rights to freedom of though and speech and use it to deny 1.4 billion people those exact same rights.

Put your money where your mouth is..... right, just big talk.

Do some study about kolakunlum highway and why China went into Pakistan to work on it in the first place.

don't confuse him. tell him karakoram highway then he might understand it. but then again if he googles it, he might end up on an anti CPEC site and will come back in an even worse fighting mood

*karakorum highway
Then you should also know that the pakistani side was alot more difficult and time consuming to construct. Why leave out this very important fact?.

Oh I know, corruption, kickbacks, etc.

Those days are over. The people in charge are now in jail begging to London.

New leadership, new blood and new attitude of low tolerance for corruption.

Brother you clearly don't know much about Japanese productivity. Japan has one of the lowest productivity levels of any workforce in the entire world. This stems from the fact that they work on average 64 hours a week. Which lowers their productivity. Working more hours doesn't mean you're more productive, it means the work is so much you have to work longer.

Give the work to Japanese or Chinese, they will complete it in 1 year.

Give the same work, same budget, same number of people to Americans, they will complete it in 2 years with similar quality.

That is how I see productivity.

Currently, I am not sure how exactly they calculate the productivity, but look like they use GDP per capita as main criteria. That is probably the reason why Vietnamese productivity is even lower than Laotian (officially). If so, I guess German productivity is lower than Qatari or Bruneian.
