After Metro Bus, Lahore to get Metro Train: Punjab CM

As long as it's financed by Chinese firm (not Punjab govt. development budget) and project will not be another white elephant surviving on subsides, there shouldn't be any concern. Mega cities needs mass transit facilities.
Even in the west 66.7% is subsidies by govt. I am not sure why you think this one won't be. Even metro bus is subsidies 2/3.

Please visit a village near you. Spend a few hours. Talk to people. Will help a lot.

If you expect all villages and rural areas to turn like Paris, you must be out of your mind. The failed state of 70 years will take about 10 or so to show real rebuilding. But the current government, to many people's surprise, has pulled out a miracle. People can't pay off a student loan over 20 years at times. These guy have kick started an entire country's economy with 200 million population, and have set a strong foundation, that if peace and stability remain working, will help take Pakistan to the top 20 countries on the planet.

If you can't comprehend how big of a deal this is, I feel sorry for you. Your political influence should work for voting, not to bring down or bash your own country's progress!!

LoL, I love it when people that have never been to Pakistan call it a failed state. In reality we were far from it. These guys didn't do any thing for the economy as of yet. It is Pakistani people and their resilience not the governemnt of Pakistan past or present policies.

You talk as if Pakistan was Somalia before a certain party came into power. It wasn't, and there was a lot of development in the past seventy years. A lot. Development without which none of this new infrastructure or economy would've existed. So give credit where its due and be more courteous with your wording, people don't like being called a 'failed state', especially when they're far from it.

Wahhabi PTI
Now that's new :woot:

On a serious note, please refrain from dragging religious matters into this. I am absolutely sure that Metro Trains didn't exist when Abdul Wahab did and this has nothing to do with said sect.

I am sorry, did the Pakistani people brought in the 100 Billion dollars worth of JUST ONE investment? Or was that the IK's superman PTI or the super military who got to a point where Pakistan can, in ONE shot, order, Heli's (while building JFT block II's), more frigates and potentially 6 subs???? The proof is in the results. Posts like yours, are talks from people who still don't get it and won't get it.

One of the CEO of GE once said "you adapt the change or the change will be forced upon you, and you won't be able to adapt to it and you'll be left behind". I hope you find some wisdom in this for you. The change in Pakistan HAS come, with the vote bank and the country is growing. If you don't want to be a part of it and work hard, you are welcome to be an internet warrior and write silly posts that at this time, impress no one. Everyone knows who is doing the work, the threads are FILLED with how much work is being done by the current government and the growth potential coming up in Pakistan, almost every day in the shape of some new project!!!!

I've asked you for a source to that figure about a dozen times now and you never gave me one. Stop repeating it like a diseased parrot, it's false.

Had you spent 6 more months without the current government, it was about to become a Somalia, just so you know. The country was right at the brink of bankruptcy when these guys came in. They took one of the real large SOS loans by the IMF to bail them out, (forgot?? people like you bitch*ed to the bone that they are taking loans to bankrupt us, when they were actually taking loans to avoid it).

So instead of going to twist my words from a failed state's stand point, you should take it in a productive manner. I know IK's fans don't say or want the truth, but I write it and sometimes, its bitter but I mean it in a real, truthful manner, not in a disrespectful way, you know it too.

Remember, after all, when ALL of you would write negativity on here, I was supporting Pakistan and seeing its good, advanced growing future due to the current government's work.

Today you are sitting here, on $ 16 billion worth of cash savings account and showing me your IK's bravado that these people didn't do anything. The work is right in front of the world. The Chinese, the Americans, the Brits, the Arabs, everyone sees it. HELL, for once, the Indians have started to see it. You are seeing less and less resistance from them on these economy related topics. Till a year ago, one positive thing about Pakistan's economy and they'd try to toast me with proofs as to how wrong I was. Today, I can't find them to make a case!!!! So please, give credit to where its due.

There are people who won't get it, like your IK. The lying has put a blindfold on their eyes and ears, that no matter how much reality they can see it with their eyes, they won't understand it, follow it or except it.

I have no reason to argue with someone who's just here to bash people's hard work over three years (the current government). You can run your IK's propaganda mill somewhere else. Btw, he's too busy putting his wife into politics. Didn't be use to bitc*ch about family politics.....hypocrite may be?????

Good bye tank man. Do your research, the evidence is RIGHT on this forum, in the shape of news, interviews, pictures and people's real life experience working on projects that you deny exist!!!!

And how does what you just posted above proves me wrong. Failed states don't build their own jets,we are . your post is confusing ,I don't understand how you calling it a failed state and then go on to say,we are buying and building expensive toys. You think by signining few MOU current governemnt has done some thing new. Dude if we were to go by Pakistani governments present or past signining MOUs as sign of successes, we would be a bigger economy then China long ago.

As far as me being a internet warrior is concern, cause I don't agree with your political point of view means Absolutly nothing to me.

Failed state was when the previous government was leaving. That was my whole point genius. Sometimes, you should read the post carefully. The current government came in and turned the tides. In fact, it is a LOT more than turning the tides, its turning the entire country's position in the world and future of 200 million people.

Because of these guys, you are at a place today that you had the ability to say NO to KSA on troop deployment and call UAE out saying their comments were "insulting" to the nation. Guess what? The KSA's king sent his minister to kiss Pakistan and apologize for the comments. THIS right here is where these guys have brought Pakistan to where it was headed three years ago. NO leader in Pakistan has ever been able to say no to KSA. Whether they eventually do it or not, is a matter of civilian - military policy. But the fact is, this one step, put Pakistan WAY above where it was. Tells you how confident the government is and where they want Pakistan to go!

This is an ERA of big cities trade centres, like most UK govt. invest in London only, or France spend on Paris, Pakistan govt must spend in Lahore, Lahore is fast becoming the electronics and IT manufacturing hb.

For Lahore now, this type of investment is too less, to limited, it has to be far more than what it is not. Donot listen to the crap of some jealous parties, where Govt is not taking care of rural Punjab, a lot of investment has gone down there. we now need 200% increase in Lahore budget and investment.

Mind your language. What a load of pure nonsense. All of it. Just give me a link. All I ask is for one God damn link. There is no single investment worth a hundred billion US dollars.

And enough with the IK bullshit. Nobody is talking about IK and I am not a representative of his party. I don't care about his wife and I don't care about him. Things have changed and for all I care he could be shaitan himself - because unlike you, I'm not obsessed. I agree with some of his policies and disagree with others, and applaud those I agree with while criticizing those I disagree with and there is no reason to drag this into this thread because it is completely irrelevant.

I never denied the existence of any project, I denied their effectiveness. Everything I say is based on evidence and you have never responded to any of it, I've had enough of this.

Yes there is one metro for Rawalpindi, sister city of Islamabad, but I donot think Islamabad needs a metro. Metro is needed where alot of people use Public transport to travel in congested areas, Islamabad is not congested and it is where, rich ppl live. so does not require a Metro as such.

So we can call Rawalpindi and Islambad as twin cities of pakistan ??, just like Hyderabad-secundrabad for us
