The Indian ACM B S Dhanoa in a recent interview is heard claiming that no proof of shooting down of the Pakistani F-16 is available in the form of HUD Video or Gun Camera footage or other Data since the shooter aircraft aka W/C Abhinandan's MiG-21 ended up getting shot down over Pakistan thus all the main evidence ended going up in flames.
However one wonders that while every one from Indian PM Modi to IAF ACM and to Arnab Goswami are in pain to save face and are prone to making a claim a day on the F-16 kill but and it's a big but, if the Indians are so convinced or rather desperate for their claim then why haven't they brought the alleged shooter W/C Abhinandan to the forefront to tell his side of the story. Why doesn't the frivolous Indian media interview the Indian pilot and ask him to give the details of his experience. It is also very ironic that within 24 hours of the events of 26th February, the Indians were quick to claim a round figure of 350 Militants killed in Balakot strike and F-16 kill. While both these claims took place on Pakistani territory yet it took same Indians six months to conclude that their own helicopter was shot down by friendly fire, even though it crashed on their head and they had the wreckage sitting in the living room. The Tea was fantastic and the kettle is boiling.

We should not worry about what Indians are thinking, they are a gullible nation of a unique strata.

I doubt Abhi would capitulate and tell a lie and have it part of the public record. If that were the case, he would have been paraded in front of the cameras a long time ago. The Vir Chakra was a political decision and we don't know the reason why it was given. Might turn out it had nothing to do with shooting any aircraft but responding to the enemy and trying to do his duty above and beyond (unlike his Mirage 2000 and Su-30 compatriots).

.
Pakistani army should start a bidding war between tea/coffee vendors and the highest bidder's product gets served to captured IAF pilots.

.
It appears that Abhinandan has refused to give a false statement in public.

Exactly,he seemed a professional through his ordeal and maintained what he said while in captivity.
Else if Indians can fake so called surgical strikes and stage other actions, they would have made Abhinandan gloat over every Indian media channel and talk shows.
As AM Hasseb Paracha said, we are not exactly sure for what achievement he has been awarded the Vir Chakra.

Abhinanand is an Indian patriot and serving pilot and as a national duty he will say whatever script he is given
so him not saying anything doesn't mean that we can use it as an Indian weakness.

the entire claim is weak regardless whatever Abhi has got to say. I wont even bring this a point against Indians because they might run a grand show and invite him and make him say whatever strengthen their claim and then they will use it as a response to our challenge and also as a proof of their kill.
the world would've found out about the lost F-16 had it happened within weeks
as Gen Asif Gafoor said that even a bike accident gets mentioned in social media and compared to that hiding a plane loss is just impossible when every one has a recording decide in the form of smart phone,
our own people would have spread that news for free even without any greed or incitement, the only avenue left is that India sources a wreckage from another country that uses F-16 and then brings it to Kashmir and makes Bollywood grad movie and publishes it as a sure shot kill
there's been a fresh crash of F-16 in Belgium I am sure Indian diplomats can convince the Belgian govt to sell the wreckage for "scientific research"

Agreed with most of your post except that if Indians do indulge into foul play to salvage their tattered reputation, the Americans will certainly not take in kind one of their prime platform being shown in poor lights for some brownies. Thus that maybe last of Indian worries as America might just release certain satellite images to prove their weapon against Russia's best.

And Belgians have no reason to sell anything to India for their 3rd rate attempts at propaganda. I also still believe that being an Indian patriot does not mean lying for their political gain at the detriment of the institution he is serving as any lie will be a black mark on both his character and the IAF, and that is why is has not happened.
