Pakistan should have dropped payload across international borders, because Indian did same.

We did drop a payload. Our jets locked on their Brigade HQ, then dropped their payloads 500 meters away from the Brigade HQ. We dropped our payload on an empty field, as we didn't have the heart to drop our payload on trees like the Indians did.

The International community would have sided with India if we destroy those Military Targets and killing IA soldiers including some High ranked Officers , Pakistan already assessed the Damage done by IAF a day before, they know they did no Physical damage to anything or killed any Pakistani's, hence our response needs to be very calculated, not too soft that IAF would see it as our weakness and not to strong that we may attract unwanted attention, I know a lot of Members here don't like What PAF did, but if you follow up news, and Articles from Indians and Neutral sources, Pakistan win the conflict and Perception war as well .

The dump was deliberately missed to send a message. Had the Balakot strikes actually inflicted any damage beyond the trees, rocks and a crow, the dump would have been obliterated by the PAF.

They would have also got their backsides "vigorously" kicked just like their airforce counterparts.

The Indian Army would have retaliated if the Pakistan Air Force had succeeded in hitting the ammunition dump it targeted on the Rajouri-Poonch sector on February 27, a day after India struck a terror training camp in Pakistan's Balakot. This could have brought the two nuclear-armed neighbours precariously close to a full-blown war.

A day earlier, the Indian Air Force had carried out strikes on the terror training camp of the Jaish-e-Mohammed in Balakot. Reacting to this, the Pakistan Air Force launched "Operation Swift Retort", where they appeared to miss their targets, which were military installations in the Rajouri-Poonch sector along the Line of Control.

The Pakistan Air Force claims it deliberately missed the targets to send India a strong message of its capability. The Indian military establishment has always argued that the Pakistani Air Force simply missed their targets.

In an interaction today, senior army sources said if the Pakistani Air Force had indeed struck an ammunition depot that appeared to be one of their targets, the Indian army would have vigorously responded.
