After nine consecutive months of relentless selling, foreign investors have turned net buyers and invested nearly Rs 5,000 crore in Indian equities in July on softening dollar index and good corporate earnings. This is in sharp contrast to a net withdrawal of Rs 50,145 crore from the stock market seen in June.

Good news, hearing that inflation has peaked.

. . . . .
Can’t wait to see my equity holdings give me similar (or better 😀) returns, seen before FIIs had started pulling out.
The main reason FIIs are returning is because they have nowhere else to go. Almost all major markets except India are going to have a slowdown. Dollar bonds have a limit, you can't invest 100% of your portfolio in dollar bonds.

During global uncertainty, India remains the place to invest, shows how strong our economy is.

Whatever be the reason, I say - Bring it IN.

50,145 crore - 5000 crore =...............

Do you think all of those money will return to India ?

As US is getting recession, seems the pressure is not that hard anymore for Emerging Market.

Just wait for Q2 2022 data to be revealed, Indonesia will show its Q2 2022 in 5 August, India will be in very late August or somewhere in September

.
Manufacturing activity at 8 month high, Unemployment rate at 6 months low, Inflation easing to 5 months low, Rupee gaining back strength, FIIs returning after a long time, FDI increasing....good signs on economy front.

The same thing is also said by many Indians (local or overseas Indian economists) in Q4 2021 and Q1 2022, but GDP figures show very differently right ?

Lets wait for Q2 2022 data to be shown then we can understand more about India economy performance for the rest of 2022.

. .
FACT

Indian markets have shown better resilience amidst volatile times and have fallen much lower than most of the larger global economies as of July 31, 2022
