I've posted examples already. They're showing they can integrate various platforms unto their trucks, offering to be the lead integrator of whole APCs, providing products for future soldiers programs, etc. This is all in a couple of years
Dont you know that last year Indian Defence Ministry had reissued a tender to buy 100 APCs slightly easing the requirements from 2009’s failed tender???
And the original requirements were that the wheeled APCs should be able to fire on the move, should have good speed on the road and cross country, and should have the ability to protect against mines, improvised explosive devices, small arms, grenades and artillery splinters. How ambitious is that??

Their portfolio IS growing. And they dont have a free pass to everything like OFB had for decades. And they're still putting in their own money.
But where's the money??
They incurred a huge loss of Rs8bn after paying taxes in the first quarter last year .
I still maintain that anything Indian for Indian Armed forces is welcome but the poor quality is worrisome. You too have accepted that TATA has yet to throw their hat in the ring...the european companies are way ahead of Tatas.
None of TATA's products are clearly the best, obviously. Especially if you're going to compare it to European examples. None of the Indian products Indian defence companies produce is best, period.

Even that APC platform they're going to show will not compare to German or other European models, but im sure they'll continue to improve on the design.

Companies like Ashok Leyland-L&Tand Mahindras entering this sector is a good news.
The resultant competition might help defence.
