The aircraft have been ridden hard and wont be serviceable without coalition logistical support. Younger pilots haven't been given enough training and older (soviet era) pilots form the bulk of the most competent pilots the AAF has.Americans made sure to give bare minimum to ANA. Afghan Air Force now that's where the gravy lies for the Taliban.
