Afghan forces lose 2,531 killed from Jan 1-May 8 says report

This will all be blamed on Pakistan for not protecting the treacherous AFGHANS. They have the US COLLISION FORCES and Afghan Force and the Indian Guerillas and still beaten to ashes by Taliban. Mind you Russia was only beaten in Afghanistan because of ISI which provided the detailed cover to Afghans. Now Afghans are mixed with our enemies and they are dreaming of forcing us through US pressure to help us. I hope all our enemies are defeated in this way. And Pakistan will only safeguard its own soil. Not like US which infiltrates others and then hide behind collition cover and in the end succumb to defeat and run away.

USA found and trained the most cowardly of the the brave Afghan nation. US goal is to stay long term in the region so it cannot afford to find and train brave soldiers from the warrior race rather it has assembled crowd of undisciplined, weed-smoking drug addicts who can't fight on their own and thus Afghan govt will always be dependent on the US army similar to Iraq. Perfect deception. Afghans will be ridiculed around the world for their less than stellar performance in the battlefield and get mercilessly killed by Taliban and others who are far more dedicated, motivated and battle-hardened and disciplined fighters.

The longer Afghanistan stay in chaos worse it will be for Pakistan. There is a historical pattern of disorders happening in pairs. First one country and later a neighbouring country. Vietnam and Cambodia, Columbia and Peru, countless pairs in Africa. Its a game between states. One undermines the authority of other over its subjects and the other does the same later.

. . .
This doesn't mention the defections to taliban! there are more defections to taliban than anything else.

Not necessarily, if Pakistan overcomes its internal issues, Afghanistan itself is a minor headache that can be dealt in different ways without causing any significant problem for Pakistan. The only worrisome aspect is the presence of foreign troops. Pakistan and China need to work together to weed out all foreign presences in Afghanistan to pacify the region.

Those are some very huge losses what the hell they and the Americans are doing?

True. If Pakistan punishes the traitors and deals with the Afghan demographic time bomb in her land then whatever happens in Afghanistan will be of less consequence for her.

Pakistan needs to get rid of traitors who*es like Asma Jahangir, Mehmood Cheechak Zada, etc and graciously the process has already started with the disqualification of the biggest traitor family of them all i.e. the Shreks (some people refer to them as shareefs in media). InshaALLah soon Pakistan will purge all the traitors who have been clung to its skin and a new era of steady progress and strength will start. Our worst external enemy (i.e. india) will get mired into deeper internal shit and issues with neighbours due to its belligerent nature. That will allow Pakistan to cement its economic and societal development by eliminating the corruption and other ethical and moral issues in addition to developing infrastructure like CPEC and other projects like dams and mineral resources.
Thus, Pakistan will be in a position that will make it essentially immune to the small nuisances like Afghanistan in case it does not want to cooperate with Pakistan and establish peace. Pakistan is one of the few countries in its size that has the potential to be solely survive on its own if it can pull together its resources and manage them wisely. For example, Sweden is dependent on outside world for food due to extremely cold climate.

But Pakistan also needs to deal with the Afghan demographic time bomb within her lands.

So if the trend continues Afghan security forces will take about 20,000 casualties this year. With a total force of 375,000, this means 5.2 percent yearly attrition rate, its not sustainable.

On top of this, desertions are a common thing in their security forces, so their situation looks quite grim.

They have a defense budget of $11.5 Billion, this is larger than ours and they have a much smaller area to protect, no major enemy on their borders, no sea to guard and no nukes to develop. Yet they are unable to provide basic necessities like proper food to their troops on ground. This results in low morale, and in turn desertions.

The current situation is much worse to that of the Soviet era Afghan army. That was still a national army and kept Afghanistan out of Mujahideen hands for a few years even after withdrawal of the Soviets. I believe a complete withdrawal of the US will result in a melt down of the current Afghan security forces.

But I don't think there will be a complete withdrawal any time soon, and with air support from the US no matter how battered this security apparatus is, it will keep the current stalemate.
