Sir i assume by "wrong sect" you meant wrong for this particular confrontation with Afghans/ISIS and were talking about Shia. However Bangash are NOT predominantly Shia, they do have a significant Shia population but Sunnis are still more in numbers within this tribe. The Miranzai linage is the one that have Shia population but yes, i agree with your point in the sense that this Shia population is mostly settled in the Kurram agency, the area where the problem was and one can assume that those tribal men who came to support Pakistan army were from this Shia population of Turi and Bangash tribe.
