Some thing is not right. He is saying his grandfather is Mehfooz Khan (while describing Ahmad Jan as great grandfather), who was executed in 1929. While his father, Arshad Sami Khan, was born in 1943. How can be a son born 14 years after death of father? .Also he and his father has middle name "Sami" while grandfather and great grandfather does not have it.

I’m the family patriarch now. I’ve never spoken about that part of my life because I didn’t want my family to open any doors for me but carve a niche on my own.

I remember Saeed Noor interview, he only gave him film because of his father. He did use his father position/influence in Pakistan to get role in movie. He also speak punjabi like lahori so I doubt he was rised in England, maybe just born there.

Even if his story is true that means his great grandfather was clearly of Indian origin. Could as well be from UP where many Afghans settled. From Afghanistan his grandfather moved to Peshawar and after his father joined airforce then they moved to Lahore.
