Yes it was already part of Afghanistan.....only that the Kabul had lost control over it and much of the rest of Afghanistan during the contest for throne after Amir Sher Ali and after second Anglo-Afghan war. Amir Abdur Rahman reasserted the authority and writ over entire Afghanistan (with British arms and ammunition) of the level never achieved before, not even in the times of Ahmad Shah Abdali.

I take offence to that statement as I have Afghan roots, my great grandfather moved from Kabul to Karachi in the mid to late 1800s.

1. Great grandfather from Herat with surname hindi and interestingly doesn't look particularly pashtun either. Later his ancestors moved to Peshawar where his father was born. And then his father moved to Lahore.

2. His mother is related to brothel owner General Rani of Yahha Khan and is actually from Gujrat/punjab and not Jammu as he claim.

I do not really understand what all the fuss is about, millions of Muslim from India crossed over into Pakistan whilst only a handful of supposedly non Hindu folks crossed over to Bharat "cough" "cough" Tarek Fateh and Adnan Sami. Enough said!

I actually disagree, sometimes people don't realize what they are saying could hurt other people unintentionally. So its better to atleast let them know and maybe they will mend their ways or correct themselves.
