Additional budget requested for PN

Spacial increase in PN budget is requested by standing commitee today. Commitee told the reason that PN budget is very low as compare to IN.

It is true & our navy is weak, a lot needs to be done to strengthen our Navy.

PN needs now to move away from Karachi as the port has become chokingly polluted and dangerous to PN water-born assets. Pakistan's Coastal security and development of Gwadar is now directly linked to investing in PN operated programs for these locations.

Also SPD is developing new missile test and storage sites within the coastal area as well and all this will have to be guarded by the PN.

So PN remains as the PRIME force for Pakistan's economic and strategic future for the next at least 25 years to come. The more GOP invests in PN, the more stability it will ensure for the State and its economic well being.

May be maybe not, my bet is on frigates and Submarines purchases not infrastructure (although it also required badly but not in this case).

I support this. Our navy is shockingly underfunded and the naval forces being heavily ignored was one of the main reasons why we couldnt win the 1971 war. The naval arm was the only realistic quick way towards east pakistan and with that destroyed we couldnt reinforce them at all.

We must have a strong navy as two of our provinces sindh and balochistan are connected to the sea. To protest such a vast area and make sure that we are not surrounded we must have better submarines and frigates.

Moving to Gawader is risky we militant attacks can damage our assess ts but where ever we develop a base main thing is we need warships and for that we need money
