This is hardly evidence. It is a theory. But like I said, this theory is being put forward with political motives. The origin of a hand gesture is irrelevant. So what if Buddhists/Hindus used it before the Mughals? And how do we know it did not precede them? Its a pointless debate. But it is used for political reasons, just like the "evidence" that the Taj Mahal was a Hindu temple. By promoting these theories, you are helping bigots.
