ADA Issues tender for Multi-Function Displays for Tejas MK-2

Aeronautical Development Agency ( ADA ) a DRDO Lab and Prime contractor for the development of Countries Indigenous Light combat aircraft ( LCA ) has Issued Expression of Interest to Vendors who can Design, Test, and Supply Multi-Function Displays of size 6x8 ( 2Nos ) and 5x5 ( 1nos ) for installation in Tejas MK-2.

Two 6x8 Multi-Function Displays will be positioned in Left and Right and single 5x5 Multi-Function Display in center console , ADA has asked selected vendors to supply Prototypes for testing and winning vendor should provide support for Avionics and Aircraft integration till flight certification is given .

Tejas MK-1 has Three 5 in x 5 multi-function displays, two Smart Standby Display Units (SSDU) , Tejas MK-2 will be getting 2 Bigger Multi-Function Displays which are now common in cockpits of 4.5 generation fighters jets , Technical details of the new Multi-Function Displays which will go in Tejas MK-2 are mentioned below with Designs Inputs provided by ADA .

Ok not to sound like a jerk all the time but

1)why are we not going for ips lcd instead of older and shittier tft??
2)why not fo for full hd displays??cost is not even an issue here,displays are pretty cheap nowadays,so why frame such characteristics when even a 5 inch cellphone comes with full hd display??

and someone last year showed a samtel single display like used in j-20 and f-35,,,,why not that?
