Acute shortage of defense tech discussions / threads

A person can only do as much as start a thread with some information.... and then hope people would join in and a discussion could start..... however most posters are posting in other kinds of threads

and ofcourse threads from sir muradk-- I read all of them before my first post in this forum -- there are also many more threads , these were the threads I could recall offhand as most of them are by me , please forgive my bias

there are roughly 20 modelling hobby threads aswell for youngsters to vent out their frustration in a positive manner - if anyone wants the links , i would post them here aswell

Your list was an incredible morale-booster, and I have been wallowing in the various threads listed. At the moment, I am busy greedily soaking in information, and it is far too early to contribute or to comment, but, holy moly, what a wealth of information this is! This could keep us going for years!!

Defence related threads are there but fewer senior members take part in it. Most are interested in socio-political discussions. We have some new TTs who are excellent, there contribution to defence related threads would make it more interesting. This is a defence forum after all.

Air Warfare
A new sub section has been made for good / informative posts for aviation enthusiasts . I've moved some threads on general aviation topics in this section . Looking at the threads here , there should be no complaints that there are not many good military threads .. Now its upto the members to make good use of this section . This is a move to encourage quality posting from all the members . Hope members will contribute positively . I will move some more general aviation threads scattered here and there , later.

Members are also encouraged to let me know if they know of some GOOD threads on general aviation which have'nt made it to this section

Do you think it worthwhile shifting over permanently to the selected threads and ignoring the others? I'm seriously mulling over the idea. Suppose we encounter the same scruffy types there as well?

sir , a lot of general aviation threads are scattered in the forum which give a perception of diminished mil. aviation threads.... some in pak defence industry , pak aviation , indian def sub forum , etc which are very informative , however members start posting such threads in there own country subforum , even endingup repeating the same threads on different subfora aswell ---- we are not talking about moving lca or jft threads as they are important parts of those airforces/subforums, rather general aviation threads ,like rcs, thrust to wt,stealth tech etc which are common grounds of interest and hopefully would lead to a trend of starting productive threads --- the threads ive put in this section are generally good , the thread starter has also given some info to begin with... as a template to work on

a lot of forums have tried this approach and we are trying to change some aspects which hopefully might encourage better postings

That is a very good idea. Though I am not sure if it will be completely efficacious. Viruses and Bacteria can proliferate any where.
Even on a thread requiring an informed response or a technically thought out input; some half-a$$ed guy can come in and spit out something and affect the trend of discourse.

Of course, the afflictions are far greater on the "High TRP" threads on the subjects that I wrote about earlier.

All right guys , Air Warfare has gained enough momentum to launch other subsections --

First and foremost , please post in related subforums .. I am so tired of moving threads afterwards ..

Secondly please post more content for these sections if you can ..

Thirdly plz let me know if you have posted related threads earlier and would like me to move them in these appropriate sections ...

Fourthly plz let us know if you would like some other sections in the military section like hobbies/modelling -- aircrashes , sales news etc and we will see if these sections have enough support for them to be launched

Pakistan has turned from a Defence forum to God knows what, i don't even have the words to describe it.

Pakistan has turned to a country from a defence forum. Be glad about it, you get to live here now instead of just writing with a keyboard on it

YOU and YOU alone can rectify this.

Post more defense related threads and topics. This forum has a place for anything military world wide and there is a lot of it. Members need to boost their own threads in large numbers. And there are many defense related threads that don't get much hits.

So go out there and bring the discussion to the forum yourself instead of waiting to join one.

I was just looking at Pakistani Air Force and Army forums and I don't see a single current event news there. But I also don't see new threads. I believe the only thing the moderation can take care of is if one has problem with the news on the site. But this is a member matter, one has to start posting those threads themselves before blaming others
