I suggest you to compare the minority population of south Asian countries which got independence around and after India. I hope you have read about what Muslim armies did to sikhs/hindus women/girls when they invaded India? These hatred towards one relgion because of someone did something in the past in the name of religion takes time to go. Also it is as claimed 1000 years of oppression which is now coming out.
