A Vietnamese enterprise broke ground on the largest USD 1 billion Bauxite-Alumin complex in Laos

The Bauxite-Alumin Dakcheung Industrial Complex project broke ground on December 19, 2022. This is one of the largest scale projects of Vietnamese enterprises in Laos and also the largest foreign investment project in Sekong province to date.

It is known that the project has a total area of 8,692 hectares in Dakcheung district, Sekong province, with an investment of up to 1 billion USD, with a capacity of 1 million tons of alumina/year. The operational period of the project is 30 years and can be extended for 50 years.
