A video of an "electric fan" that can produce 3D images has wowed netizens around the world on the social media. The electric fan is actually a holographic 3D screen invented by a Chinese company in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province. The company's CEO and head of research and development, Zhou Quan, is a recent graduate of Southeast University in Nanjing. The smart holographic 3D screen has four LED bars that make it look like a fan. As the bars rotate, they produce 3D images which can be seen by the naked eye, according to Zhou.

This (video below) was probably the first version - but Chinese fellow has taken it even further. The guy who invented it said he has patented this fan-based displays. Not sure how Chinese version is different.
