Crown Princess Mary of Denmark was spotted gracefully getting off a military helicopter in Bangladesh to meet fans on a whirlwind tour of the country.

The 50-year-old royal shook the hands of locals and graciously waved at the surrounding crowds on April 25 with one image capturing the moment she posed for a selfie with fans eagerly awaiting her arrival.

She began her working trip in Dhaka, where the mother-of-four was greeted by Bangladesh's Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed.

Earlier that week the princess shared a delightful selfie-style video with her fans while travelling around Bangladesh.

The Rohingya people and communities seemed to be thrilled to catch a glimpse of Princess Mary and exchanged floral gifts

The Danish royal opted for a comfortable, casual look wearing a red patterned shirt, khaki pants and a matching cap

Afterwards, accompanied by the Minister for Development Cooperation Flemming Møller Mortensen, Mary met with representatives from Danish companies based in Bangladesh in hopes the two countries can collaborate on green, Earth-friendly products.

The Princess took to the Danish royal family's social media accounts to explain the purpose of her visit there.

'On this journey, the focus is on the consequences of climate change for the population, nature and biodiversity, for Bangladesh is one of the world's most climate vulnerable countries, and it is expected that by 2050, up to 20 million people will be displaced,' Princess Mary said.

'We need to focus more than ever on the diversity of nature and to promote projects aimed at conserving and protecting nature.

'This means, among other things, that people often have to move because they can no longer grow their crops or because areas are flooded.'

Crown Princess of Denmark Mary Elizabeth on Tuesday visited the largest refugee camp in the world, Kutupalong camp in Cox’s Bazar.

The princess, who is on a three-day visit to Bangladesh, met with the Rohingya and host communities on camps no 5, 6, and 8 at the district’s Ukhiya upazila.

Later, Princess Mary inspected soil erosion control and environmental restoration activities conducted by the Danish Refugee Council (DRC). She also planted trees near camp 5.

Several government officials and the Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commission accompanied her during the visit.

The princess exchanged views about Bangladesh's humanitarian efforts toward the Rohingya community during the meeting.

The Danish princess later walked through the camps and visited the communities’ homes. She stopped by and talked to the Rohingyas about their lives on the island.

She arrived at Cox's Bazar on Monday afternoon on a private plane.

On Wednesday morning, the princess will fly out from Cox's Bazar for Satkhira to visit Kultoli village to meet climate-vulnerable community members.

She is also scheduled to visit the multipurpose cyclone shelter at the nearby community, its management committee, and its functionality during cyclone

She is scheduled to leave Dhaka for Istanbul on Wednesday night.

For the Rohingyas - it was a PR opportunity and Photo-Op which was instrumental in bolstering their case in the Hague, because someone important from Denmark symbolically extended their support to them.

I don't think the Danes expect the foreign countries to conduct the same Royal protocol extended as they get at home but she got to meet Hasina and normal diplomatic protocol for foreign dignitaries was extended as required. This is the minimum we can do for important overseas visitors.
