Majority of kashmir itself is muslim... who by the way are against india.



Dont worry they will be.. the main point is tht Kashmiris even after more than 6 decades dont consider themselves indian...

Bulk of muslim population is in srinagar valley.Leh,jammu are totally pro india,no protests ever take place there.And being muslim doesn't mean anti india necessarily.Kashmiri anger is mostly due to militarization of their land not religion,a situation forced by infiltration policy from accross border.

I know this has been talked about a lot here before, but I was wondering if we could restart the conversation of having the ECO (Economic Cooperation Organization) unite as a single country, again. Especially because a lot of things have changed since the last time we have had this conversation (Arab Spring) and a lot of things are predicted to change (US leaving Afghanistan in 2014). Before I start I'd like to list the countries I am talking about right now. The ECO consists of:
1) Pakistan
2) Iran
3) Turkey
4) Afghanistan
5) Kazakhstan
6) Turkmenistan
7) Kyrgyzstan
8) Tajikistan
9) Uzbekistan
10) Azerbaijan
11) Turkish state of Cypriot

And the twelfth one I added on my own is Kashmir which hopefully one day will get liberated.

Let's first talk about whether the people of these countries want to join together and then we can talk about what type of political system we would have. We could use past examples that have either succeeded or failed, or we could create our very own political system. Would we be secular or have sharia law, and give reasons why we choose whatever we choose. Who do you think our allies would be as a combined nation? What are the pros and cons of us uniting? What would we be called? What would our national language be? I hope we're all creative with our answers and respectful to each others' opinions.

It may work as a economic federation....where you can implement Islamic banking system,which I am quite a bit of fan of it as it idealize a glimpse of socialistic concept.. But for every economic cooperation you need to understand that each of the nation should contribute something in return....

The muslims of IOK hoist Pakistani flags,protest etc bcoz they want freedom from india.

Why don't you just take them? Pakistan is in a pretty vulnerable situation right now..this might be a good chance. Don't let this be another Kahuta, lol.

No man..who will do the war??...Better to spend some time in India and Pak cricket match and consume each others ego in cricke field itself? I can not see people from both sides being killed by each other due to some piece of land...And the same rule applies to you too...You can not manager whatever you have it and you are thinking adding another area to your kitty....Status quo serves very well for both sides..

In srinagar valley,yes.That happens.When overall poll was taken results weren't not in pakistan's favour.Bulk favoured none of the countries.Some from srinagar wanted pakistan.bulk of southern kashmir india.Your statement is oversimplification taken to new degree.Dogra regiments and j&k rifles recruited from these communities have served and bled for india for 50 yrs.Do you think we will simply abandon them to pakistan?

Again the dogras themselves were involved in the genocide of kashmiris in 47s... and before tht they were harassing the kashmiri muslims... again hindus of IOK make how much of the population? if you people are so confident than you should consider holding a plebiscite in kashmir... we ill accept it whole heartedly..

We are the ones who own kashmir . We don't have to whine.It doesnot matter what kashmiris think .They can think themselves of being martians but at the end of the day they all will carry an Indian passport and that is what matters.

If you want to know what whining is , readabout the countrymen who were boasting about capturing kashmir for the last 65 years and the only thing they have left with is now half their country.......

Where 1 pakistani soldier fought against 150.... or as ur general jacob says 1:50 ratio.. in a land miles aways without any support and indian between.... but you forget how a tiny muslim minority ruled ur ancestors for 1000 years... I come from a South Indian region which has never been conquered by foreigners . So sorry your "ruled ur ancestors" cr@p is not going to work.

I know for a fact that Kashmiris don't want to be a part of India or Pakistan, and that it is why I added it as a 12th country .

I would have ignored a mundane subject like this. However on reading of the 12th member highlighted above I was compelled to respond.

I will not go into the oft repeated lines of J&K being India & thus inseparable , I would only like to point out that the words Muslim & United when used together are oxymoronic.

I'm not saying Kashmir will be a part of Pakistan, but as a country of its own.

A union is not feasible. There are too many differing ethnicities to be managed effectively. An economic cooperation is better suited, but the SCO seems more interesting to those countries.

they are south asians. and gateway to CAR. afghanistan ws a part of old hindu empires.
