A Strategic Blunder

Don't mind, but i would say you are being too optimistic. :)

American was never our friend, it is not our friend and it will never be our friend.

They do things deliberately & if they say later on it was a mistake, its not that they have realized their past mistake, rather its now time to fcuk the country more, so say apology and fcuk the country from start again, till objectives achieved.

Gates is right. This time they wont leave us alone. They came here to do many unfinished jobs. There was a thread called Zaid Hamid and me couple of months ago and I wrote there that west is coming from Balochistan. Their intelligence/army personnel are "formerly" present. Their intelligence network and "white" people are actively present! ISPR published the same statement today that there are "Several" intelligence networks present. Don't undermine one..I know the facts and let me tell you something...give 2 pennies to it!
U.S. will do a "big" mistake. They do not realize now. Their existence is on the brink. Again calm down and let the time come..you will know what I said...
I just stated the facts!

If they do have realized their mistake and want to repent it.

Then why do they don't provide Pakistan with Armed drones instead of toys. And good numbers of gunships.?????

Haha, I agree with Taimi, by calling it a blunder they are trying to assert that it wasn't deliberate.

The US if it wants to prove its friendship needs to do some REAL things for Pakistan and not throw in some aid. It needs to take a stand on the Kashmir issue, it needs to end India's activities in Afghanistan and it needs to bolster trade ties.

I don't say that we're at a point of no return, but without the US acting on the REAL issues that matter in Pakistan, it can't achieve a long lasting relationship with Pakistan, neither are we interested in it.

Let see if Pakistan will get F-16 c/d , so time will tell if US has learned from its mistakes.

He is shamlessly lying brother. The fact remains that US backstabbed Pakistan, not once but multiple times. GOP is still trying their best to keep their relationship with US alive on ventilator. But its too late now I guess. Once your credibility is gone, all is gone. US-Pak relations can never return to the same level of cozyness that existed in the Cold war era, esp. when US is also trying to be cozy with us, the Indians. All said and done, US is not a dependable friend.

I can not comment about future Pak-US relation but i still feel there is a great potential for a cosy relationship between these two countries in future.

I have seen people bashing GoP many times for its unconditional support to US for WOT.
But too me i will always give benefit of doubt to Pakistani preparedness. Pakistan was unable to plan contingencies and lacked foreseeability to assume contemporary difficulties it is facing now.

The main reason was element of surprise as post 9/11 US was able to get sympathy form all over the world including Pakistan and WOT was brought in Afghanistan with blink of an eye. Furthermore for Pakistan establishments never expected the length of these operations to be very lengthy and laborious.

Adding: What US has been expecting from Pakistan to me is unjust now due to its continues insensitivity to respect its sovereignty, current sentiments of Pakistani populace and frequent open criticisms.

USA could have enacted more maturely that is the bottom line.

Screw the F-16s man. Toys and Gifts do not make up allies.

China and Pakistan are not the super close allies because of the F-7s they've given us or because of Gwadar port, its because China follows the old saying "Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, teach him how to fish and he eats everyday".

What good is an F-16 where whatever potential it may offer may be crippled by sanctions at any time? What good is $1.5bn if its going to be paid off to corrupt politicians?
