I respect the Chinese position on drugs, like i respect China's positions on a lot of issues.

and we Dutch people, on average, as far as i know, merely accept that 'marine culture and ocean plunder' as you put it, as part of our history. very few of us worship it, and a lot of us are somewhat ashamed of some of the things our countrymen did in those days.

by keeping the memory of it alive, we can teach new generations to avoid the mistakes of the past.
