A solution to Kashmir

.
Terrorist and those separatist who were directly involved.

Kashmir is a disputed territory. Do you realize this or not?

The occupying Indian state intentionally marginalized the pandits to help maintain the Civic divide between the populace in the occupied territory.

I don't think kashmir is a dispute. Maharaja has legally acceded to India. He and all those concerned managed to get us special rights.

But we should not forget that Kashmir was an independent empire invaded by Pakistan which started the whole mess. Kashmir got legally acceded. What Pakistan has occupied in 47-48 is legally theirs. We Indians should accept that because as far as I know, king lost those territories before joining India so he holds no right over it and so does India.

That's why my other opinion is to make loc a settled international border in case the 1st one fails. Kashmiris were marginalized by their own . First NC then PDP. Indian army was no where in the picture till recently.

I think plebiscite by district in whole of Kashmir state is the best solution to the problem.

Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir, Kargil district goes to Pakistan.

Jammu, Leh district goes to India.

Ummm...no. That is disputed. United Nations recognizes kashmir as disputed territory.

Your beloved Maharaja signed a Standstill agreement with Pakistan before acceding to India. And even acceding to India, there is supposed to be plebiscite to take the opinion of the Kashmiri people.

The Maharaja was being dishonest, he knew he could play tricks and that the plebiscite in the princely state could be avoided when the plebiscite is supposed to happen.

Exactly you only have partial knowledge. Read the history before commenting.

A plebiscite is supposed to happen in Kashmir princely state.

You are right but Pakistan is supposed to vacate Azad Kashmir before the plebiscite takes place. Now GB has been absorbed by Pakistan and Pakistan has unilaterally given away kashmiri land to china, so its also messy now.
Also Pakistan didn't stand still and sent in armed raiders into kashmir, so the agreement was voided.

. . .
Dont you think as a kashmiri pandit, you should have the right to study that document as part of your history?

Yes. That would be logical but when life is about getting a job , marrying and having kids, no one looks at that kind of stuff.

If my memory serves me right then Pakistan has to move out its army from there end followed by plebiscite. Also India not being a direct democracy isn't obliged to do it . UN and league of Nations are just waste of time and money. Only the top players have their say.
