A solo dutch traveller to Kashmir welcomed by Oppressed and innocent Kashmiris

I follow her on youtube. She travels solo and is not afraid to visit dark alleys etc. She knows all about Indian n Muslim culture and dresses appropriately. She was genuinely scared in Srinagar with horny innocent Kashmiri lads following her n teasing her.

The name Ivana Perkovic seems Israeli to below audience.

Haryana se shuru kartein hain. Samjhaye koi hamare jaat bhaiyon ko ki beti ki izzat karein. Srinagar toh bohot door hai
Konse zamane me rehe rahe ho? :-) Ladkiyon ki izzat na karne wale langoor jitne Haryana me hai utne hi India ki dusri state me bhi hai. Haryana is moving away from mysogyny steadily.

Apparently being horny is one of major factor for early demise of many freedom fighters in valley, it seems like apart then training in hurling granedes and wielding guns, they need training in controlling harmones as well.

Dal Lake Srinagar

To be fair this is the toughest place I have ever visited in terms of harrasment. Even with my Indian clothes I get cat called every 5 sec which is cray and on top of that I got stalked 5! times yesterday. Like LEGIT stalked with people waiting for me and walking slow/sitting down/looking back. I NEVER complain about this because sad as it is it's the reality of a solo female traveler. I've just accepted it as part of my job. But this place just makes me feel so unsafe and uncomfortable I'm not even leaving my guesthouse today. YES you will see this in the vlogs and I definitely expect a backlash. But let me tell you this: if someone who never complains about being harrased says it's really bad. How bad do you think it is then? I've never stayed inside because I felt unsafe in any place but I guess there has to be a first time for everything. BTW don't even dare to say something about "this is India" or crap like that. I've been North to South and have always been treated with nothing but respect. This is NOT India! This is a specific place and I can't wait to go to Leh and experince a different side of beautiful Kashmir. #IvInIndia #RealTalk #Sad #solofemaletraveler #girlvsglobe #travelvlog #srinagar

The last post sparked a cray controversy on facebook but I'm happy about that! The more we talk about problems like this the more they get resolved. One thing I MUST clarify tho: my post was NOT about Kashmir as a state. That would be absolutely ridiculous as I've only experienced Srinagar. That's why if you read the last post until the end I stated I was so ready to explore the rest of beautiful Kashmir. So sorry Kashmiri people for causing this confusion! However I do stand by my statement about Srinagar NOT being safe for solo female travelers %. I roam in old Delhi for fun, thoroughly enjoying and exploring Muslim areas. NEVER have I been harassed there. Getting stalked once in Delhi when I've visited the city 3 times for a total of 16 days is an incident and I would NEVER judge Delhi for that. Getting stalked 5 times over the course of a couple of hours is however NOT an incident! I am responsible for inspiring solo female travelers and would be the biggest asshole on earth if I wouldn't warn them about this and talk about what happened in Srinagar. Don't for a second think I'm enjoying this because I feel bad for the people who work in the tourism business and have to make a living for their family. I feel bad for the good people of Srinagar. For the guy at the restaurant who genuinely had a chat with me. For the boatsman who was absolutely amazing and tried to teach me history about Dal Lake. For the amazing guesthouse owner and his family. For the brilliant restaurant owner who got me a separate corner on the first floor of his restaurant posting a waiter making sure nobody bothered me. ALL amazing human beings of Srinagar who's business suffers because of assholes who can't mind their own business. Finally I want to end on a positive note: this is me as the ONLY woman in the local Jammu & Kashmir State Corporation bus full of men. The driver was exceptional and made sure I had my toilet breaks too (because you know as a woman I can't just stand by the road). I have been treated with nothing but respect during the last 2 days traveling with them on this bus. Those assholes in Srinagar should take an example of this man. Salut Karim! #IvInIndia #Srinagar

Innocent Stone Pelters and their horny freedom fighters in the valley!!!
What, no mention of the 7,000,000,000,000 Indian security forces or their human rights abuses? Only complaining about the locals infected by Pakistani ideals? huh.

Heard before from few friends that Srinagar is not the right place for female travellers. Leh, Himachal etc are far better.

I would like to counter you on this. I m from Haryana, living there for more than 10Y. With confidence, I can say that Jat, Ahir are best protector of females. There is very less crime against females in Haryana from these caste. Rest of media report is all bull.. Try visiting UP or any other state, you can see the difference.
FYI.. I am not Jat nor Ahir.

It's ok brother. No need to defend us we always receive hate from other Hindus except Gujjars so we are used to it.

Attack on our culture and way of life is called secularism and forward thinking in India and hate is probably fear of us.

Jats/ Ahirs are very strong protectors of Hindu culture and community. Whole idea is to defame then to weaken Hindus. Unfortunately Secular agenda is winning in places and seeped into Bollywood.

I am a Jat from Khentawas near Gurgaon, I know what I am talking about. All northern states need a complete rejig in their treatment towards women. A lot we need to learn from the southern part of our country.
Jats, rajputs, Ahirs are the worst in judging women. My village elders think that all women who don't don a salwar kameez or a sari are sluts and are asking to be raped.
They would drape every woman in a burqa if it were upto them. They don't let their son's marry women who want to work. Long list of problems mate.

I have stayed in all tier- 1 cities in india. NCR is the worst in terms of how women are treated.
To get an idea of the mindset of people from Haryana, come to Gurgaon, book an uber cab every time you have to go out, strike up a conversation on crimes against women with the driver. Do this for a week and you'd know that the diseased mentality we have up here.
I am assuming you are not from around here.

I am near Gurgaon and like to meet you so you can open my eyes on this hidden injustice.

And I bet village elders has more life experience than you and I am sure they don't make opinion of women from their clothes but it's your preconceived notion of them which you got from media.

As I said i would love to meet you and those monsterous village elders you portrayed here.

@ranjeet chore daru tyar rakh es Saturday tera Bhai aaya Gurgaon.

I am not going to indulge your suppositions. I stay in Gurgaon, PM me your number, don't mind meeting.
I am willing to bet my money on this, let's go to 3 villages - Jharsa, Patli and Garhusarhi and conduct a survey of why rapes happen and who is to be blamed. You will be shocked to hear the misogyny that comes out.
Village elders work well to maintain status quo, never embrace change. They are a disgrace.
I am speaking from personal experiences and not from any popcorn news source.

People in leh and other nearby areas in kashmir are completely different. They are one of the most friendliest people you could ever find in India. The people existed in kashmir valley were some people might have adopted ideologies from our neighbors.

The mindset you are talking about thrives among those who are uneducated, old generation or both. Don' t expect much from the old generation since its hard to unlearn. Ofc not every old gen is like that but mostly are. Younger generations are much more open minded and its same in all major cities of Haryana. You are too much pessimistic just wait no more than 20 years.

Ask the same questions in any village all over India and you will get the similar answers. I can only say about Jharsa, girls there wear jeans, tops its not a problem at all. The reality is somewhere between, not as you describe.

Survey is not a bad idea go ask Shopkeeps there lol.
