A Shudra defeated the Mughals and the British in 18th century

Lol it's funny how you guys need distorted history to boost your spirits. Have it ever occurred to you, that the masses in Pakistan are being taken on a ride by few vested interests in the name of fake past for so long.

True, lol they seems to forget that a Punjabi Muslim Dulla Bhatti stood against Mughuls. Also Afghans and Mughals were always at swords.
inhe mat uthao bhai inhe bari achhee neend aa rahi hai ;)

Most of the medieval Punjabi poets in Pakistan wrote in Punjabi language. British introduced Urdu to Punjab and Pakistanis started to claim themselves as descendants of Mughals.

so you think Pakistan is only Punjab .?

An old post of mine written with historical facts. Counter me if you can.:azn: And, do not make regional rulers the pan Indian rulers.

Indian civilization is about 4000 years old. And, some in PDF claim that Muslims rule India for 1000 years. Their calculation is from712 AD to 1707.But, being History mysecondfavorite subject, I find itamusing.I am giving the reasons below:-

1) 500 years gone:-On thethird attempt, Muhammad bin Qasim became successful in 712 AD. But, not a single piece of land of modern day India was captured(only confined to Sindh). But, the latter progress of theArabs was stopped for next 500 yearsin theBattle of Rajasthan.First Islamic dynasty in India was Mamluk Sultanate (Delhi) in 1206. So, officially it cannot be before1206. And,500 years gone.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Rajasthan

2) Another 300 years gone:-Only six (Alauddin Khilji,Muhammad bin Tughluq,Akbar,Jahangir,Shah Jahan,Aurangzebtaken together less than 200 years) out of dozens of Muslim rulers, had a so called pan India rule. All others were regional kings like Cholas, Palas,Rajputs, Jatts, Gorkhas, Sikhs and many south Indian kings .They had no power to control whole of India's destiny. If they were pan India rulers, then all others are so.

3) Remaining 200 years:- I doubt if remaining less than 200 years can be called absolute Muslim rule in India because of Hindus' overwhelming presence in the administrations unlike Hindu rulers (before the MARATHA) with full administrative control of Hindus.

After 1707(death of Aurangzeb), Marathas rose to power and de-facto ended MUSLIM RULE. Then, came the British and the rest is known to all.

So, out of the 4000 years of Indian Civilization or the concept of India , the number of Muslim Rule in India does not add upto 1000 years, but it's seemsless than one fifth that is less than 5% of 400 years. Now,calculate who ruled India for the rest of the years???:coffee:

Do you think Indians will ever be able to understand this? Leave other things aside they even can't understand that Pakistani Punjab is heterogeneous population unlike Indian Punjab

ok..enough chit chat..now lets concentrate to the topic, shall we guys????

I gave you the example of Punjab which is more than half of the population of Pakistan.
Pakistan is made for muslims not for Punjabis sindis pathans kashmir and balochi, we are unite on the kalma not on the cast.

Mahadaji Shinde was a Maratha ruler of the state of Gwalior in central India. Mahadaji was instrumental in resurrecting Maratha power in North India after the Third Battle of Panipat in 1761, and rose to become a trusted lieutenant of the Peshwa, leader of the Maratha Empire. During his reign, Gwalior became the leading state in the Maratha Empire and one of the foremost military powers in India. Between 1745 and 1761, Mahadji fought in around 50 wars, including those in Malwa, Rajputana, Bundelkhand, Brij, Doab, Rohilkhand, Delhi, Kunjpur, and in the Battle of Panipat. Among the campaigns which Mahadji assisted, the notable ones include the ones at Chandravati Ganj (1746), Fatehabad (1746), Badi Sadri (1747), Marwar (1747), and Himat Nagar (1748)
The army of Malharrao Holkar joined the Shinde army to bring all the Rajput states under Maratha control and force them to accept Maratha suzerainty, as directed by the Peshwa. Under this campaign, several city states were added to the Maratha Empire such as Medtya, Ratangarh, Lalgarh, Bikaner, Laswari, Lachhmangarh, Kumher and Deeg and the states with territory of Jaipur and Jodhpur agreed to become vassals of the Maratha Empire.
Mathura which was under Mughal rule was conquered by Mahadji in 1755 where he reconstructed various old temples and established a centre for Sanskrit learning. In January 1758, Mahadji established Gwalior as his headquarters.
When the Maratha army crossed the Narmada river in February 1770, the Jat king Nawal Singh of Bharatpur opposed them. However, in the battle on 6 April 1770 Mahadji defeated him and Maratha supremacy over the North was re-established.
In early 1771, ten years after the collapse of Maratha supremacy in North India following the Third Battle of Panipat, Mahadji recaptured Delhi, and installed Shah Alam II as the puppet ruler on the Mughal throne in January 1772.
Mahadji ruled the Punjab and Sikh sardars and other rulers of the cis-Sutlej region paid tributes to him.
In January 1779, the forces of British troops under command of Col. Egerton marched towards Pune. The Maratha army was commanded by Mahadji Shinde and Tukojirao Holkar. Mahadji slowed down the British march by firing from above a hill and sent forces under Jiwbadada Bakshi and Lakhbaji to cut off its supply lines by burning food and fodder. When they found out about this, the British halted at Talegaon near Pune. The Maratha cavalry harassed the British from all sides and applying a scorched earth policy, burnt farmland and poisoned wells. The British began to withdraw from Talegaon in the middle of the night, but the Marathas attacked, forcing them to halt at Wadgaon, where the British force was surrounded on 12 January 1779.
On 16 January, the British signed the Treaty of Wadgaon that forced the Bombay government to relinquish all territories acquired by East India Company in western India since 1773 which included Sashti (Salsette), Thane, and the entire Gujarat region. The British were also made to pay Rs. 41,000 as an indemnity to the army of Mahadji.
The usual indian propaganda Against the Greatness of Muslim Empires of South Asia.

"
The varna of the Maratha is a contested issue, with arguments for their being of the Kshatriya (warrior) varna which is widely accepted, and others for their being of peasant origins. This issue was the subject of antagonism between the Brahmins and Marathas, dating back to the time of Shivaji, but by the late 19th century moderate Brahmins were keen to ally with the influential Marathas of Bombay in the interests of Indian independence from Britain. These Brahmins supported the Maratha claim to Kshatriya status, and the legend of Shivaji, but their success in this political alliance was sporadic, and fell apart entirely following independence in 1947.[6]

Various Maratha families lay claim to the Kshatriya varna,[7] and the various clans make dis-similar claims. Bhonsles claim their origin from Suryavanshi Sisodias,[8] Jadhavs from Yaduvanshi Yadavas, Bhoites from Chandravanshi Bhatis, Chavans from Agnivanshi Chauhans, Salunkhes from Agnivansha Solankis etc.[9]"

1.The Marathas consider themselves Ksatryas. They are not Shudras.

2. The dad of Mahadaji Shinde was a Maratha. His mom was a Rajput. He was an illegitimate child.
