In the past countries were invaded, now countries are dictated through IMF and goals

How about running the economy soundly so that you dont run to IMF?

Regards

Government still refuses to public the IMF agreement. The said agreement was cited as a national security matter and continues to be a closely guarded secret.
publishing report is bilateral consent and usually property of IMF , if they allow to publish. Otherwise I have posted Musharraf IMF agreement few weeks ago.

so joyland movie approve because of.imf in pakistan i see

Why is this a surprise? Maybe not IMF but it’s no secret that movie was funded heavily. There’s also a new TV show where transgenderism is normalised.

It’s not possible. This is why Islam has such strict punishments for riba (interest) because it becomes downright impossible to pay off the loans.

To pay off our debts, we will need at the bare minimum political stability. Governments should be allowed to complete their terms with no surprises. Or the second option is an extended dictatorship.

IMF never asked such thing its ppp who trying to show west that they allow this to make them happy

How do you know what IMF does and doesn’t ask?

Just look around the world and you will understand how IMF isn’t a bailout but a debt trap.

Lol the only islamic nuclear power is being dictated by an organisation run by unfaithful.

Because Islam has never been followed. Pakistan really should remove Islamic from its name because people like you use it to mock Islam and Muslims.

People truly are fools if they think IMF cares about improving some country’s condition. Why doesn’t IMF help Iran, Afghanistan and many other African countries?

That is NOT IMF's role. It is bound by its charter to help its member states to set their finances in order according to sound management principles upon request. That is all.

In the past countries were invaded, now countries are dictated through IMF and goals achieved that way.

Going to the IMF is a CHOICE made by a member State. Don't like IMF's advice? DON'T go to the IMF. Problem solved.

It’s not a choice anymore unfortunately. It was a choice many decades ago but not anymore.

You don’t think those member states dictate the conditions?

Just look at Russia. It was funny when US used FATF and slapped the label of terrorist upon it. Exactly what I said. When they can’t invade they use their modern tools like IMF, FATF etc

There is no secret you fool. IMF has no issues or requirement to keep any loan details “secret”.
This current agreement with IMF was classified as a national security issue by the then government who concluded the deal.

Fck IMF

They probably put normalising LGBT as the condition for loans and Pakistan isn’t ready for it.

Thing is issue isn't IMF its Pak collective leadership that can't live within their means. They are addicted to constantly borrowing from the IMF and making themselves dependant. They need to wean off constant borrowing and create an industry that can make hard currency.

–Any official found violating directives will be punished
ISLAMABAD:
Cabinet Division has ordered ministries and divisions to follow Staff Car Rules and ensure implementation of Transport Monetisation Policy in letter and spirit after it was discovered that some officers had been allegedly misusing their official vehicles.
In a letter dated September 12, 2019, Cabinet Division made it clear that any officer found using their official vehicles in violation of the rules will be held accountable as decided by principal accounting officer (PAO).
Transport Monetization Policy and Rule 5 of the Staff Car Rules 1980 stipulate that vehicles authorised for protocol/operational and general duties purposes shall be used in accordance with the rules and for the purpose for which the vehicles have been authorised. However, there have been allegations of use of official vehicles in violation of the Staff Car Rules and Transport Monetisation Policy.
To avoid misuse of official vehicles, the Cabinet Division has directed ministries/divisions and departments to follow the Staff Car Rules and ensure implementation of Transport Monetisation Policy.
As per Cabinet Division’s directives, all official vehicles shall be parked in office premises, when not required for official duties and on the closed holidays. Vehicles from general pool will be provided on written requisition as per Rule 5 (10) of Staff Car Rules. Pick and drop facility to the officers in BPS-20 and above who are drawing the monetisation allowance may be restricted and vehicle from the general pool may be provided only for official duties. Similarly, pick and drop facility to BPS-16 to BPS-19 officers may be provided in case the officers sit late for two hours beyond the official timing.
“The vigilance committee shall submit a report to Cabinet Division at the end of each month with a certificate that no official vehicle has been misused,” the letter stated.
Cabinet Division also advised that the officer in charge shall ensure that movement registers and log books of the vehicles are properly maintained. And, Rules for Use of Staff Cars, 1980 and Transport Monetization Policy as amended from time to time be implemented in letter and spirit.
Former government of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) had introduced monetisation of transport facility for civil servants in the year 2012 apparently to eliminate misuse of official vehicles. Undertakings from each entitled officer were also obtained apparently to make liable to be proceeded under the relevant rules. And, all federal secretaries/PAOs were made responsible for the implementation of this policy particularly to ensure that each of the entitled officer in BPS-20 to BPS-22, including themselves, is not in possession or in use of any project vehicle or the departmental operational/general duty vehicle, as well as, any vehicle of an organisation or body corporate in his ex-officio capacity, except the only vehicle allocated to him/her through the monetisation policy.
However, misuse of official vehicle is still continued and the Cabinet Division has finally issued advisory cum warning to all ministries and divisions with objective to stop misuse of official vehicles, which will result in savings and will also help in discourage misuse of official transport facility.

Govt vehicles and their misuse

Just take a look at the parking area of any federal government building in any city. An official vehicle stops and the driver opens the door and drops off some gentleman before going back to the latter’s official home where the lady of the house will be waiting to go for picking up their children from educational institutions. Besides, the driver takes the lady to the shopping centre, beauty parlour and to her friend for lunch at a restaurant as part of daily routine.
There is a high tendency amongst government officials and their families to use official vehicles for their personal purposes. This kind of scenes can be easily seen in front of any government office and in its parking area, where imported automatic expensive vehicles of latest models bearing official number plates can be seen parked. All of them are naturally purchased by the public exchequer. Their drivers also keep these vehicles chilled by keeping the air-conditioner on much before the gentleman returns.
This is a common practice by most government officials and their families who use official vehicles for their personal purposes and activities, without any sense of moral obligations and accountability. The use of official vehicles can be observed in any city during working days, weekends and holidays on the roads, around shopping areas, at wedding receptions and other ceremonies, and at picnic spots.
Sometimes during the personal use for a long journey out of the municipal limits, these official vehicles often get involved in road accidents for which the departments bear heavy expenses on repairs.
We are already facing an economic crisis and the country is under heavy foreign debts. This has made it economically dependent on the International Monetary Fund (IMF). But despite this alarming situation, the country’s bureaucracy has refused to change its lavish lifestyle.
Due to the current financial crisis, petrol has gone beyond the reach of the common man as well as low-cadre government employees. The government should introduce a car-sharing scheme and pick-and-drop facility for government officials by utilising large buses and vans, like private-sector industrial enterprises do.
Besides, the name of the department and its logo must be put on both sides of official vehicles so that they can be identified easily. There should be a ban on unnecessary use of official vehicles and in an emergency situation, pool cars/staff cars should be used by the officials.

Nonetheless, going to the IMF is a CHOICE. There is no denying it. Pakistan chooses to go to IMF to beg for help because the alternatives are not easy either. Default is always an option. Other countries have gone through it and survived. It is totally up to Pakistan to choose what to do.

Define survival lol.

Default is going to punish the populace and not the leaders. We don’t need to be punished for crimes we didn’t commit.

Good news though, seems like China agreed to give us 2 billion, hopefully some other country joins in and we get through the next few months until general election when a proper new government comes to power.

Every decision will come with its pros and cons, for sure. Getting through the next few months would be great, but then the new government will have to deal with all the consequences of such short and long term decisions that are inevitable. There can be no magic solutions to Pakistan's self-inflicted problems over decades of mismanagement.

I agree that the people don't need to be punished for the crimes they did not commit, but we are talking about a country where the energy bills of the honest people who do pay are used to cover up the freeloaders energy usage who do not pay, and everybody accepts it. This will be no different, and therefore punished they will be.
