A Punjabi song with a great message for boys who force their loved ones (girls) for meeting / dating

Hi,

We had small rocks and strings that we could wrap a paper around and tie it---and throw it.

We had land line phones---we had our own ways---.
When i read saadat hassan manto i feel hysterical at the thought that previous generations were way more tharkier than current ones.

.
How about we just throw Islam out the window and become Hindus?

Stupid liberals further corrupting our already broken society.
They think that if every Pakistani strips bear naked and starts dancing like in Bollywood films we will finally have achieved "progress"

Was a risky business.. the stone could land on a head, in the hand of the brother, father or any male member of the family.. furthermore, no guarantee of the answer.. so it was much less effective and thus issue was at a much smaller scale.

Asalamu Alaikum

Knowing them, even that wouldn't be enough.
Walaikum Assalam.

I don't know would could go further than that. But then again these people never fail to disappoint and surpass every previous boundary.

Actually this song has a message. If you understand the Punjabi (I doubt though). I see Punjabi trying to keep their identity and culture separate from the morally degraded culture of the mainstream indian movie industry and media

I understand and speak Punjabi but don't like the harsh version spoken by Sikhs. Pakistani Punjabi is sweet in comparison.

Sikhs do try harder in holding onto their culture and identity yes.

My man,

We took our risks---ie---both sides---.

Hi,

Our punjabi has become softer due to a large influx of urdu speakers in punjab etc---.

In indian punjab---such a transition has not taken place---. So---the language is a little different.

I don't know why but I like Punjabi of Khalistan especially spoken by girls because they are polite. I like Punjabi spoken inside Pakistan as well but I don't like the Urdu spoken by Punjabi people especially from Lahore..that's just turns me off when they discard the Urdu grammar and talk to girls with masculine terms. Do you study? "Kia aap parhti hain (proper Urdu)?" and Lahori degraded Urdu "Aap parhtay ho?"...really turns me off..right there.

Thats not Lahori urdu...I can see 1 or 2 people speaking like that but keep in mind Lahori Urdu also varies between different classes of people. It generally conforms to normal urdu albeit with a slight accent(which is a given).

No..you're totally wrong. It is not just my observation. Patras Bukhari, a famous writer has mentioned this in his comic books. Just use youtube..
