A Letter to The Chief of Army Staff and to Corps Commanders of Pakistan.
Dear Sir,
We the people of Sindh extend our appreciation and gratitude for the promotion of two Sindhi speaking Brigadiers to the rank of Major Generals.

This is a welcome gesture not only for Sindh but for entire Pakistan and a challenge to those who have been trying to divide patriotic Pakistanis.

Its first time in the history of Pakistan that two meritorious Sindhi officers have been promoted to the prestigious rank of Major General.

Our army is a national institute and it should have due representation from all federating units. Fair representation at all levels for all segments of society will make this organization truly a national entity. Similarly all civilian organizations of Federal Government should have fair representation at all tiers. Spirit of federation requires equal and equity-based representation for all provinces of Pakistan and specially for those who are underprivileged.

I hope that Armed Forces of Pakistan will continue this positive, fair, transparent and merit -based national policy.

Best Regards

It's a nice gesture by palijo...Don't want to ruin it

BUT

Funny how Sindhis seek merit and job in Federal set ups and organizations but don't want to introduce same merit in Karachi and Sindh due to fear of Urdu speaking taking over....

Urdu speaking youth don't get government jobs in Karachi even...

This is hypocrisy.

sindh should stop electing crooks and thieves and wake up for the nation

This particular letter is exactly to reject the notion that there is any discrimination or differences on the bases of ethnicity at all. Furthermore, I don't see this one related to any provincial jobs or merit argument so lest, don't get into such argument.

A racist bigot is acting rational mean only two things
- He want to use a regular action f a government organization as an achievement of their effort for his followers.

- He wants to taint it with his racist and ethic hatred, one could translate first few lines of his letter in this manner where he is identifying deserving individuals from their ethnicity.

I understand all this by history. In-fact we can see how the letter may sound that too coming from Palijo. Received the letter so thought to share that will then call for assessment & observations as such.

Competent and merit should be the only by word and there should be no deserving notion.

It is a good thing that native people with native identities are grounding themselves in the critical top institutions of this country. One thing I am sure that for a sindhi, the home is only sindh and by large pakistan. I met "Sindhi" speaking students first time only here in germany, found them very friendly and similar in behavior and manners to us in Punjab.

.
Who are the two concerned gentlemen promoted to MG ranks?

. .
These demands for " EqUal RepResEntaTion of SiNdhi pEoplE " will cause the meritocracy in the armed forces to go down the shitter. Democracy in Pakistan has ensured that it stays far from practice of merit based leadership and it would be an utter retard move to have that kind of system for the armed forces.

Go play your respective provincial cards somewhere else.

Regards.

It is interesting that many here are abusing 'natives' who want nothing more then pride in their land, history and forefathers. Yet ignore that one of the largest political parties which loomed large and occupied a outsized role in Pakistani politics [MQM] for decades actually had the suffix "Mohajir" and openly represented that demography.

Yet if natives show any leaning toward similar aspirations they are shouted out as racists and traitors.
