A Hindu PTI MPA calls out Fawad Chaudhry for glorifying Ranjit Singh

He fought , and conquered and ruled. He even ruled Pashtoon’s. This is a fact. And saying that he was a cruel is hypocracy when we glorify mughal rule, khilji, ghaznavi and others in Subcontinent.
My view of them aint positive either the Afghan kings nothing more than glorified mobsters who only visited to loot and plunder
They even abducted Muslim women from Kashmir valley for their harems
History was never pretty dare I say the time for this region was when it was under the Goras?

Pakistan should celebrate those people who are their heros..
It aint black and white chief
Its in the shade of grey
Good or bad he was part of our history. I have calmed down from a more hostile view on this. His relics need to be protected I am just against glorifying him as some sort of messiah of the Punjabis by a federal minister when he knows Ranjit was a very VERY controversial figure

This however was also a fact he aint no hero he is hell,a grey

.
So a hindu says a Sikh was not good...
A sikh will say a Hindu or Muslim is not good
A Muslim will say both are not good...

So who is good?

We need to define good as good to / for Pakistan!
After Quran you still need to define terms?

Just my opinion.

Really liked your post because it bring a very different but plausible context to the statement by Fawad Ch. Though mostly I find him creating unnecessary controversies for whatever reason and that puts IK's govt under pressure. As minister of info, he messed up big time and PM had to personally meet the press to convey his POV which was appreciated by those journos even though temporarily. But he should have anticipated that such statement will create controversy and honestly it has done more damage than any gains. We don't need to resort to such tactics to appeal any community at the cost of alienating bigger segment of the society while we are already doing more than their expectations like opening of the Kartarpur corridor and making visa easy for Sikhs pilgrims etc.
You give FC and those that advised him of this too much credit

Punjab always been ruled by foreign rulers. Maharaja Ranjit Singh (along with pours )was one of very few Punjabis who have ruled Punjab. No past rulers whether Muslim or non Muslim was entirely saint or entirely evil. We need to read history objectively
This Sikh turned famous masjids into horse stables and Pakistan is celebrating him? Please start noting the names of the people who are celebrating and supporting this, so we can clear sh!t out.
But some Muslim rulers have also looted/destroyed temples as per claims of non Muslims. We all know the enmity between Sikhs and Mughal rulers (especially Aurangzeb). Sikhs guru were killed by Mughals and Badshahi mosque was built by Mughal emperor Aurangzeb so they probably took revenge from Aurangzeb by using his historical building as a stable for horses of his army and study rooms for soldiers. Its more about political hatred between Sikh and Mughals than religion. British also kept using Badhshi mosque for military purpose
