You must ask that question to an American if you really want an answer. But we both know you don't really want an answer do you ?

At least India is more safer than China as far as govt. throwing citizens in jail is concerned.

India certainly provides a very diverse and some times even life changing experiences for tourists who visit India with an open mind.

Irrelevant since china is not an open society or culture or government. The tourist experience is limited by the direct and indirect constraints.

I have been to Hong kong and Macau. But more than that I have read enough about china to understand its structure.

Most Hindus are open minded since they are not bound by any "ism". Many in pdf might be stupid and ignorant, but they are still open minded.

It's not really that hard to find out, China is one of most traveled country in the world.

Sure , its great for sight seeing and buying cheap goods and experiencing a different culture.

Its just not an enriching experience. Its not a place where either me or my family would want to visit again or will miss it.

Just out of curiosity - what is the process for a tourist to find out these details? I have travelled to China several times without any luck. Will be travelling again in August. So if you could kindly guide me to the bureau that handles tourist education I would be most grateful...
