This is why many people watch IPL. I remember Rajasthan Royal fans cheering up for Sohail Tanveer and Shane Warne.
Also, team mates playing against each other. If anyone saw first India vs West Indies match, Kohli was standing near injured Gayle, both of them are good friends and plays together for same team.

When De Villiers comes to bat I just wait for the Devilliers to come out of him. He has so many varieties of strokes and a brilliant fielder. It's quite amazing to see him engaging with the legend of his own country,the Steyn Gun.
The only good thing about this IPL is the teams. So many nationals under one flag fighting together,which this part of the world had rarely seen before.

The test of a batsmen is when the ball is moving in and out in the air or when there is movement of the seam to test his technique.

In such a scenario you just can't imagine to flex your back leg and whack the ball away against a pace of 140+km/h.Even a pace of 135km/h will make you sweat.

Just raw pace will be of no use for any bowler,even if he's a Shoaib or a Steyn. To be successful at the death overs any bowler must put in some variety into his attack and use the crease to get the advantage of angle of delivery that is almost unplayable.If there's no movement whatsoever like in the case above, cutters can induce an error in the judgement and put a doubt in the mind of the opponent.

BTW these cricket leagues all over the world are alive because the players get the opportunity to make good money.Not many choose to put in their 100% in such tournaments,as it takes a lot to play your A game in every match with such a busy schedule.
