hiding oneself away from social interactions is not good for society's development or existence... tell me of one society where hiding face has led to that society becoming looked upon as example of development and progress.
Whoever told you that wearing a face veil is "hiding oneself from social interactions"?

Do you have concrete proof that it is "hiding" oneself from "social interactions"?

.
Get rid of this university administration. It is the lady's right to wear a veil.

.
You are such a hypocrite....... assuming you are such an enlightened person "As someone who believes in freedom of choice and freedom of association", would you support a deserving and bright scantly dressed woman, who wishes to be interviewed by a male panel for admission? Or better yet, for me to be in my underwear only and wishing to be interviewed by a female panel?

Freedom of choice my arse! Most of you jehadis are nothing but hypocrites, and use such high-morals only when it suites your nefarious objectives.........
what you are trying to say is, that every occasion has its own dresscode

.
No I said that those who say it is not compulsory even they say it is preferd but vast majority agree that it is compulsory. GC university have if this story is true done wrong and they will have to apologize
There are some 52 Muslim countries out of which only KSA has this face covering imposed. Lets count Afghanistan into it too. Now, KSA and Afghanistan, the combined population of the two can never exceed the combined population of remaining 50 Muslim countries. That my friend suggests that an overwhelming majority of Muslims does not agree with Saudi or Afghan interpretation of face covering. Even in Mullah's Iran, face covering is not encouraged.

.
Exactly! And freedom of choice does not mean freedom to wear a suicide jacket and blow people to kingdom-come. There is a point where one individuals freedom of choice tramples upon others rights and enters into the jurisdiction of law, and that my friend is called criminal behavior. Pakistan's security matrix today tells us that a woman covered from head to toe is a threat, and we better deal with it that way.

what you are trying to say is, that every occasion has its own dresscode

 I support anything that is within Pakistani societal norms and from what i know as a Pakistani scantily dressed women were never a part of our public society, not even during the times of Quad-e-Azam's life (during the initial years of Pakistan's existence). Is it not Quad-e-Azam's time period that most of our so called liberals cry about bringing back to this country?

BTW, i'm a Nationalist, i support Pakistani culture, not imported garbage from bollywood and the West. And i know you will now argue that "burqa is imported from Saudia Arabia, etc.." but so is Islam imported from Arabs, so is the Quran, so is our alphabet that we use (and many other things), we might as well eradicate Islam from Pakistan for good (but then the purpose of Pakistan's existence as an independent entity from india would come into question, would it not?).

my point exactly, the veil is a security threat, that is why for the National Interest it must be avoided, what if Mullah Burka came out from under it?

let me tell you a story... once i was in another area and asking someone people if a certain person lived around... one black-burqa'ed-without-veil female was outside her gate and near a scooter... she would have i am certain put on colored scarf around her face if she was going out... i though i ask her if she knew where that person lived... i said "excuse me" and she almost shouted "yes??".

why her hostility?? i am decent-looking and well-spoken.

those who don face-veil voluntarily have something wrong in them... some guilt or some arrogance or something else.

Why Arab countries other than Wahabi KSA not practice face covering? Does this ring some bell or not?

nasser being co-founder of nam is proof of his internationalism, plus his leaning towards socialism.
He was an outright open Arab Nationalist who gave refuge to many Fascists and Nazis fleeing persecution in Europe. And who said Nationalism and Socialism can't go hand in had?

and you decided to question my commitment to socialism??

why do you people suppose that when we say unveiled, we mean naked?
was Fatima Jinnah not unveiled? did she not look graceful and beautiful?
why is your pointer only movable in two places only?
1)Burka
2)Naked?

isnt there something in between?

from the photos, both brother and sister were elegant dressers.

2)Naked?

that is always the filthy language used by the mullahs... their language is never graceful... for them, it is either the first or the second.
