Hindu is one of THE BEST newspapers in India. They arent the ones to back down on any topic. They post daringly and imtelligently on all topics. Their Op/Ed page is THE best.

ToI is a **** newspaper. Its a frigging tabloid and a joke compared to the Hindu.
Even HT is pretty gd, comes b/w ToI and Hindu.

All the candidates giving UPSC study Hindu religiously, its for preparations on GD, etc!

cum on man, a newspaper that prints the 'wedding' of a cricketer on front page, one who prints the 'rumours' of a wedding b/w ash and abhishek on the front page and other such many many similar incidents does not deserve to be called even in the same breadth as HT or Hindu.

yeah, i suppose you COULD do that...but there's something totally irreplacable about having that newspaper in your hands early in the morning!!

its just not teh same, the same reason why people still read actualy books than ebooks on the net.

The Hindu is one of the best newspapers in India,with huigh credibilty and a fiercly independant editorial board.i have never seen them falling for the jingiosm.

Ah yes TOI is a good toilet paper for wiping ones a@@,i hate them bloody they will do anything ,write anything to sell a few extra copies.

ToI is wholly commercialized. They're doing it for the money, and they're doing a very good job at it. Bennett & Coleman have a T.V. news channel too, with Reuters, Times Now Reuters; that imho is a very good news channel.

Well im not to blame for that,i dont even touch it.

Well i think its a pretty old newspaper and normally readers get used to a particular style of paper(like the font,where the cinema lisitng is,where local news appear)and then its very difficult to change.
So that could be the reason why TOI is still the largest selling in India.

And also Hindu and TOI have a pact where they have agreed not to launch papers in each others base i.e Chennai and Bombay.
