98% of Chinese would reject receiving refugees: online poll

we are already overpopulated and generally xenophobic people...I don't see that changing any time soon
Refugees are bad for a country. Trump realized this and is trying to reverse the trending US. China should stay out of the mess created by Zionist controlled US policy makers.
Let the US and Europoodles deal with it.

Irrelevant question to irrelevant people..Nobody want to be refugee in China.. not even Afghans.
Thats a win-win. Honestly I like the fact that China has a bad international reputation for taking in the recent wave of refugees mainly going to Europe and Turkey. It would cause less trouble for the China in the future. I think anyone well intentioned for the host nation and in the right mind would agree. No one wants trouble making population within their borders (even if they are local). I'm sure Pakistan doesn't either and that attitude is understandable and I respect that.

its there same attitude during rohangya issue.....they didn't take any rohangya...

does anyone asking them to take any american or europien refuge...
its all muslims....

China does not want a single muslim refugee and that is already proved during the Rohangya muslims crisis...
Technically speaking there are some "refugees" (but not refugee status) in China that are foreign Muslims but they tend to be fluent in Mandarin, some previously studied in China, have money, their own business/professionals. They came from War torn countries like Yemen and Iraq, and seek temporary refuge before returning to their homeland. They provide for themselves and contribute during their stay.

Average Rohingya is not compatible with the local population and society in China and the country's border is far from their place of origin, increasing the chances of trouble in the future. It doesn't matter what their religion is, change their religion or take it away they would still be incompatible with Chinese society.

Are they highly educated? Can they contribute to Chinese society? Else they would be living off government handouts in refugee camps. This is not ideal for their personal development, social outlook and opportunities for their decedents. However I would support China helping out other nations hosting refugees and participate in the rebuilding of their homeland after the war.

because it has be advertise among muslims that china is their iron brother...
and , advertisment raise expectations...
I understand that many feel like Pakistan is for all Muslims but Chinese perspective of Pakistan is based on a nation state with a particular set of people and culture. The perception is that Pakistan doesn't equal all Muslims. Should all the troubles of the Islamic world be placed on Pakistan?

Sure. I would support Pakistanis of good standing and with a positive attitude in attaining opportunities (education, business, work, etc) in China.

People should differentiate refugees with legal migrants.

You must understand that people that cannot pull their own weight and contribute are very frowned upon in China, irrespective of local or foreign. Refugees often fit this status.

I was told India is a real democracy by Indians.

Indians actually have confidence with its government.

100% agree. Glad mainland Chinese are not as dumb as the white left lol

Refugee mess might be caused by west policies but those who becoming homeless refugee aren't responsible for their fate. So by not taking refugees China is not doing any favours to them. China as a world power should take initiative how to stop the cause of refugee and shelter them until the disturbance not reduce.
those refugees problem is not caused by China, we have no reason to take them.

China is NOT a world power and Chinese have very little intention to have world power. Let's not stick a "world power" tag on China and then ask China to offer something in return. That is humanitarian extortion.

For Chinese foreign money is great, but foreign people aren't, unless they bring money.
we are not short of people, 1.5 billions are already too much.

Humanitarian as in providing aid, reconstruction, and security for these refugees near their home region would be a good move. China is already doing some of that in Syria and Africa. Taking in refugees is a thankless job and destabilizing (depends on the origin of refugees and host nation dynamic) in the long run.

Sad but this is reality of almost everyone, except some have neo-liberal ideologies to protect so they are more willing to tolerate a bit longer.

It's not just an issue of money. Many of the refugees are destabilizing factors to societies they enter into, I'm sure many Pakistanis are well aware of the affects of Afghan refugees into Pakistan. China welcomes non-refugee visitors and provides scholarships to students in OBOR. Most people have no problem with those well adjusted to their host country.
