Here in Indonesia big cities, unemployed people usually work as an app driver like Gojek and Grab for both motorcycle and cars. And the other people do online businesses as trader. One of my cousin who got lay off in oil and gas company make a living now from setting up online shop and Alhamdullillah he can feed his family with one child.

Jobs in Indonesia is also not plenty, my older sister is still working in the same company for years, similar like my best friend who work in the same company since his graduation. Both of them work in small and medium size companies, so not much hierarchy that can be achieved either, pretty much doing the same thing since working there for the first time.

Most Indonesian young family have both husband and wife working so they usually have double of that figure. The grandma will look after the kids. Primary Education is also free in Indonesia for public schools.

Only men with having good salary who forbid their wife to work just like happening with my two older brothers. But some men allow his wife to work despite having enough salary just like my youngest sister husband, my sister work as a cardiologist and his husband as Jakarta civil servant.

My oldest brother wife then make a business. Building homes in Jakarta. I think there are also many like her, mostly I think doing online business.

Having women to participate in the labor market is a good thing. That helps increase incomes for the family, not to mention to have equality between man and women. Viet women are granted formal equality since the Le dynasty.

Surely will help business people a lot since they can have more choice for labor and women usually are also more willing to be paid less.

Usually middle class worker in Jakarta earned more than 1200 us dollar per month, salary for lecturer in university is around 2,000 us dollar per month, for public school teacher they can earn 1000-1500 us dollar per month, large company employeer usually got around that number, meanwhile factory worker around 500-800 us dollar per month

Well Jakarta lacks entrepreuner to begin with, not many people into open their own business the barrier still high. If the climate of business become better i would prefer to open farms in rural area and made dairy product
