Look at this event in light of the news about the Mehsud tribe organizing a Lashkar to "punish the killers of those Tribal elders". Look at it in the light of the article that talks about the bifurcation of SW because the Wazirs (Mullah Nazir's Tribe) feel they are getting unequal treatment compared to the Mehsud. Look at this in the light of the warning by the Wazir's to Tribesmen who shelter the "foreign militants".

Nazir led an operation against the "foreigners" before as well, killing about 300, with the support of his tribe. I think the opinion among the Wazirs at least is that the "foreigners are not welcome".

My military education has also equipped me with "Disinformation" and "Psychological Warfare".

The pro govt and anti govt forces are merrily at each others throat with the govt forces assisting one side against the other.

Apart from the internal tribal rivalry and sponsors, the fact that the area is riddled with turmoil affecting the normal life of the people, there will be resentmentn be it against the terrorists or for the terrorists.

That is what will decide the fate of the area.

And that is what should be the pursuit of those who pander and even manufacture news!

The fate of the area is essential to be known and speculated upon that mere reporting of daily events.

True that one reports event, but a bit of analytical comment is essential to make news a whole!

Notwithstanding what these "extra patriotic" chaps here conjure about Indians crawling out of the woodwork to destroy Pakistan, I am really concerned about what is happening in Pakistan. It affects us!

There is ganging up against Musharraf, both internationally and domestically. He is being cornered daily.

There is speculation that once a govt is in place, the courts will be moved and his being a President declare illegal and null and void!

Blast are on the increase.

Normal life is becoming tenuous.

Political parties are on the march and as the election date approaches the scenes can be ugly.

The western part of Pakistan is in total chaos.

Sindh is getting tough.

The US is sending strong messages that are not pleasant and there are many US operative operating in Pakistan.

Therefore, like it or not, it is not a comfortable feeling at all.

While it maybe an exaggeration that Pakistan is on the verge of an explosion, it is in no way, normal.

And it is extraordinary that I find that people are brushing this explosive situation under the carpet.

How is the NWFP tribal horrifying scenes, political aggressive intent leading to chaos, the US posturing, sub nationalism showing its ugly head, the mullahs having their own agenda, Saudi interference in propping up Sarif etc etc being resolved?

Quo Vadis, Pakistan is what one wants to know.

Educate me here! a moment ago you said in one of your posts against mine that its better you ignore them and adopt the policy of who cares, because like you mentioned in your previous post a list of articles explaining hight altitude warfare, its not possible for the US to attack but on the other hand, the line above mentioned about stong messages, kinda gives me an impression that you are contradicting yourself here.
By strong messages i assume you mean that either we do the way US tells us too or they will attack, but since thats not possible, so how would you relate the two?

As far as your post is concerned i will say that you are right... Musharaf is being cornered and democracy at the rate of US agenda is being persued ...

Other than Tribal areas all the other events happening within pakistan are superficial and are in a measure of Control. Its the west and US that want to create a havoc in Pakistan and for the people to think that Musharaf as a leader has failed them ...

But if you think that i believe that you are concerned a little bit about Pakistan then ...

I dont know why everytime you come with something as if you had seen it in dreams as no one questions your intellectualism or for that matter Literacy??

As far your education in millitary about "Disinformation" and "Psychological Warfare well that is work of the agencies to promote and does so. So trust me we independent Journalists working in private media are not hands in glove with the Government.

Again i would say i posted the news about the latest happening and it was NEWS not some Article.


Now if you want what is the reaction of the people there i can tell you first-hand personal experience not a journalistic news report.

But even then well i dont see you coming up with believing so better it would have been if you had read the news or commented on ongoing clash rather than making is some field match over my skills

Indeed, if I had blinkers on, I too, would be sitting smug that all is well and everything is under control. Unfortunately, I am not prone to wishful thinking or self suggest myself into a hypnotic state of well being.
