8 out of 10 Filipinos are afraid of armed Conflict with China

Define "wrong" here.

Is "what is wrong about us" has something to do that we are aligned more with US than China, or something else?
I meant to say why Filipinos are afraid of China .Sorry If that offends you

. .
even if china has the power, nobody should be afraid of them (yet don't oppose them by force). remember, Philippines are proud member of ASEAN countries. even if we're not strong enough against them by force, it's out duty to maintain the South East Asia. Together-We-Stand

I doubt that since majority are chinese puppets so no help will come and you guys dont wanna be drag in other people's problems so i doubt any help will come from Indonesia or anybody from ASEAN.

We are afraid yes but it does not mean we will not fight for country fear is normal human reaction but we should not allow fear to own us.

The answer is alignment. The Philippines will better its position if it falls into the orbit of Japan.

I welcome Manila's decision to partner with Japan. Further agreements to bolster the integration of Manila's economic, political and defense mandates with that of Japan's should be realized. In addition, cultural and social mobilization to render seamless integration should be prioritized.

.
When did you win against Japan, in Chinese movies? Us Viet war with Chinese like tradition festival in every 10 years or so.
you supid viets think history only exsited in recent 100 years? when we defeated and slaughtered japs many times in the past, you ignorant viets were still living on trees in the jungle.

Let me tell you, japs only invaded china once and failed and got nuked. before that, we defeated them easily every time from tang to ming dynasty.

Hey! Japan already had a turn with the Philippines (colonization/enslavement of Filipinos by the imperialist Japanese), now China should get a turn with the Filipinos. Though, I don't suggest we enslave the Philippines like all the others did but I think a Manila that is pro-China will greatly benefit the island nation. There is really no reason why this is not possible since Chinese have never invaded or harmed any Filipinos throughout the entire history of the Filipino existence, only beef we have is from the South China Sea thing that happened quite recently and even that is complexly blown out of proposition in terms of how China is the greatest threat that have ever threatened the Philippines. Lol!

Though because of the Filipino mentality today regarding China, they will not likely cooperate with us so willingly :/ so the PLA will have no choice but roll over the Philippines a couple time to show them whose boss, then install a pro-China regime in Manila and then give it at least a decade of cross cultural exchange then relationship will be normalized. I wouldn't be surprised if Filipinos started calling China their greatest ally. ;-)

Rebuttal it if you think it's stupid. :-)

I'm just telling you the truth. Philippines as it exist throughout all its existence is a very weak and incompetent nation highly susceptible to foreign influence and domination. Filipino history can easily be divided in these categories: pre-colonization (Filipino dark age), Spanish enslavement/colonization, American domination/colonization, Japanese enslavement/conquest, what's next? China's turn. It's the only logical choice since Filipinos are targeting China as their biggest enemy and looking for a conflict, like a horny girl aching to get roughened up looking for the biggest guy in room to pound her mercilessly. This is what the Philippines is essentially doing, acting like a female dog in heat looking for trouble.

Another analogy would be the Philippines as a cheerleader getting passed around by the whole team. Everyone will get a turn eventually :P

I don't think China will be in the position to 'rolling' through the Philippines, my friend. The Philippines is probably the most important country in ASEAN , in the Japanese view, as the country has over 150,000 Japanese nationals living there, with over 1,400 Japanese businesses and facilities dotting the entire country.

On a realistic view, i must say, the recent evolution of relations between Manila and Tokyo is natural. Both countries have had historical relations , and the upgrading of relations to strategic partners from merely just cultural and economic partners -- is ideal for us.

The Philippines , eventually, will fall under Japanese Collective Self Defense and as how things are progressing, a defense-economic-political union between Tokyo and Manila would help secure East Asia. Stabilize it. The alignment between Japan and Philippines will, in my opinion, reduce the possibility of clash between Manila and Beijing.

It's good for us, good for the Filipinos and good for the Chinese.

My friend, that was a very insulting post, please be more objective and rational in your analysis. The possibility of re-engagmenet between China and Philippines is there. One should be not so quick to demean others, in this case, the Filipinos.

Let's please remain calm headed and respectful.

Let me tell you, japs only invaded china once and failed and got nuked. before that, we defeated them easily every time from tang to ming dynasty.

Japan's invasion of Korea and Ming's intervention was so costly that it led to the collapse of the Ming Dynasty, and the rise of the Qing. Don't blame us for the actions of some Hanjian who opened the proverbial 'gates' to the Qing forces, as well.

By your logic, most countries in the region have good/stable relationship (mostly trade) are chinese puppet?
Most of the countries in the region also have good/stable relationship with rising sun, so are we Japanese puppet? :kiss3: (of course not, we just enjoy watching JAV) :dance3:

I doubt that since majority are chinese puppets so no help will come and you guys dont wanna be drag in other people's problems so i doubt any help will come from Indonesia or anybody from ASEAN.

Hohohoho!

Persahabatan andala berkuasa...hubungan yang kuat...antara Japan dan Malaysia...

Well, relations between Malaysia and Japan is definitely stellar, and Japan has always played an active role in Malaysian internal politics. This is the reason why relations between the two countries is...impeccable.

You can ask your Malay brothers and sisters just exactly how they love Japan.

That's the problem with some of the Chinese PDF members, particularly the ultranationalistic ones - in Asia-Pacific, it is either you are aligned with China or you are aligned with Japan. Those extreme Chinese PDF members prefers to have everyone on China's side, even if it meant forcing them to be on their side.

Oh don't worry, once we change our political system, other provinces won't have to listen to Manila to dictate their economy.

Many ASEAN countries get huge benefit by trading with China, on the other hand Indonesia doesnt have that benefit and we just get so many China product penetrating our market with cheaper price, thus making some of our industry collapse. So that is the difference. In Indonesia side, we are not dependent to China economically, which is different with Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand since these countries are running export driven economy to boost their GDP and they really get much benefit from trading with China.

Of course Indonesia is very important to Philippine if there is a war with China at SCS, it is because China has huge naval power, so they can blockade you easily. Only Indonesia that can give you another sea route alternative. By seeing the relationship between Philipine and Indonesia, China can see whether blockading you is effective or not. So without helping you in direct military way, we have already made them think twice in this war scenario.

If there is a war at SCS, it will be like Falkland war, it means the war will be mainly conducted at sea and SCS island. In this case, there will be no total war going on that can result in many civilian casualties. The casualties will be mainly happened on each other military force.

Heavy naval skirmish can turn quickly into full fledged war to the neighboring countries that share land border with CN, In this case Vietnam. PLA can roll in quickly blitzkrieg style and inflict heavy casualties there for few months before pull back after securing naval victory in most of SCS islands.

If Philippines want to hold back longer while preparing the worst case scenario, PH, MY, VN must have unified voice by fixing all the maritime border issue between themselves in SCS before taking further step to face CN claim as unified voice.
