Hey! Japan already had a turn with the Philippines (colonization/enslavement of Filipinos by the imperialist Japanese), now China should get a turn with the Filipinos. Though, I don't suggest we enslave the Philippines like all the others did but I think a Manila that is pro-China will greatly benefit the island nation. There is really no reason why this is not possible since Chinese have never invaded or harmed any Filipinos throughout the entire history of the Filipino existence, only beef we have is from the South China Sea thing that happened quite recently and even that is complexly blown out of proposition in terms of how China is the greatest threat that have ever threatened the Philippines. Lol!
Though because of the Filipino mentality today regarding China, they will not likely cooperate with us so willingly :/ so the PLA will have no choice but roll over the Philippines a couple time to show them whose boss, then install a pro-China regime in Manila and then give it at least a decade of cross cultural exchange then relationship will be normalized. I wouldn't be surprised if Filipinos started calling China their greatest ally. ;-)
I don't think China will be in the position to 'rolling' through the Philippines, my friend. The Philippines is probably the most important country in ASEAN , in the Japanese view, as the country has over 150,000 Japanese nationals living there, with over 1,400 Japanese businesses and facilities dotting the entire country.
On a realistic view, i must say, the recent evolution of relations between Manila and Tokyo is natural. Both countries have had historical relations , and the upgrading of relations to strategic partners from merely just cultural and economic partners -- is ideal for us.
The Philippines , eventually, will fall under Japanese Collective Self Defense and as how things are progressing, a defense-economic-political union between Tokyo and Manila would help secure East Asia. Stabilize it. The alignment between Japan and Philippines will, in my opinion, reduce the possibility of clash between Manila and Beijing.
It's good for us, good for the Filipinos and good for the Chinese.
Rebuttal it if you think it's stupid.
I'm just telling you the truth. Philippines as it exist throughout all its existence is a very weak and incompetent nation highly susceptible to foreign influence and domination. Filipino history can easily be divided in these categories: pre-colonization (Filipino dark age), Spanish enslavement/colonization, American domination/colonization, Japanese enslavement/conquest, what's next? China's turn. It's the only logical choice since Filipinos are targeting China as their biggest enemy and looking for a conflict, like a horny girl aching to get roughened up looking for the biggest guy in room to pound her mercilessly. This is what the Philippines is essentially doing, acting like a female dog in heat looking for trouble.
Another analogy would be the Philippines as a cheerleader getting passed around by the whole team. Everyone will get a turn eventually
My friend, that was a very insulting post, please be more objective and rational in your analysis. The possibility of re-engagmenet between China and Philippines is there. One should be not so quick to demean others, in this case, the Filipinos.
Let's please remain calm headed and respectful.
Let me tell you, japs only invaded china once and failed and got nuked. before that, we defeated them easily every time from tang to ming dynasty.
Japan's invasion of Korea and Ming's intervention was so costly that it led to the collapse of the Ming Dynasty, and the rise of the Qing. Don't blame us for the actions of some Hanjian who opened the proverbial 'gates' to the Qing forces, as well.
