Watch this talk show of Barkha Dutt which has various guests - from journalists and lawyers to BJP's spokespersons. Note the clip shown at the beginning which is the latest vid of the incident and shows the minister's vehicles picking up speed and ruthlessly crushing the farmers. The first part of this latest vid is also posted just above by @lonelyman.

And if you watch Ravish Kumar's Prime Time ( NDTV India ) you will have listened to a farmer saying that after the incident the vehicles were safely secured by a police contingent which whisked away the minister's son and his thugs and fired tear gas towards the farmers.

Uttar Pradesh. A blasted shithole. This 'strongman' culture of UP just doesn't end. The SP goons have been replaced by BJP ones. Loser men, who get a high out of being some goon's lackey and being rewarded with country pistols, cheap liquor and nautanki girls. I don't visit UP often, but whenever I do, and if I am driving and find a white Scorpio with a political party's flag on it tailgating me, I simple give way. It is not worth it. But there is not much you can do if you are walking and the same Scorpios ram into you mercilessly. A drag on the nation, and unfortunately the most influential politically. What a miserable combination.
