I want Pakistan to be like Turkey.

Mustafa Kemal was a great inspiration for peoples of the time who were struggling against colonialism. To our father of nation, he was an inspiration too.

Those who denigrate Ataturk dont understand that people like him , who are accepting of change and pluralism bring about biggest change. This type of rallying call, this type of inspiration, cant be expected from regressive mullahs that Saudi funding and ideology has produced. They can only inspire ISIS or Al Qaeda, the killing henchmen of imperialists.

We are Muslims we should use Islamic laws.
People in Pakistan will not accept Sickular laws from Europe.

Turkey is a better Muslim country than many other Muslim countries. Keep secularism aside, we can a better Muslim country following Turkish model of Sufi faith than what we have imported from Saudi Arabia that is regressive and narrow.

Turkey is modern, well educated, has a thriving economy and is open and acceptable to different people. Not too long ago, in terms of society, we were like Turkey too. But we were not secular. We followed Islam in its spirit.

The leaders of our independence movement, Iqbal and Jinnah, were very open and accepting Muslims. We must caste ourselves in the image of our leaders. Iqbal's poetry has deep Sufi inclinations. And birth of Sufi faith is attributed to Molana Rumi. So in ways we have a spiritual connection with Turkey.
