65 terror groups active in India: Govt

We have eliminated loads of terrorists before and after 26/11. Thousands of Pakistani Punjabis trying to infiltrate into Kashmir (ostensibly for a non existent 'Kashmir struggle', despite them not being kashmiris) have been sent to their maker. The ones based in Pakistan are flourishing and leading lavish lives, like syed salahudin, dawood Ibrahim, mazood azhar, omar sheikh and so on. According to international law, it is incumbent upon the host state to eliminate them, unless the state is in connivance with them.

It is true that India has not been able to eliminate the terrorists who are hosted and given sanctuary and live like heroes in Pakistan. Other that the USA, few countries have the ability to eliminate terrorists based in another country. So India can't do something like an abbotabad operation, but India sends every single terrorist who comes to India on a one way journey to hell.

Notice the first two words of the link you put up? "Pakistan accuses..." Just because Pakistan accuses, doesn't make it true.

India does not randomly kill kashmiris. That is a myth propogated in Pakistan to justify their constant aim of taking Kashmir, and to fuel people's constant hatred of India. If that was true, there wouldn't be 12 million kashmiris living in India as Indian citizens, with all the rights and freedoms that come with it, and then some more. (Yes, kashmiris enjoy more rights than other Indians.)

Every hate group everywhere spreads myths and stories about the enemy to motivate their cadre. So terrorist leaders like hafiz saeed or lakhvi will tell young, illiterate men like ajmal kasab that India is wantonly killing kashmiris or muslims, and send them into India to kill Indians. They get funded for that by Pakistani "charities", as well as arab money. It is a lucrative business for the commanders.

Jammu-Kashmir is very much a part of India, as much as Bihar or Maharashtra or Orissa. And kashmiris are very much Indians. They are not being killed unnecessarily, all this is simply propaganda by Pakistanis, for Pakistanis. Read around more, and you will realize this as well.

The difference being in the size and scope of the groups. In India, most of the said terrorist groups have 50-100 members, as somebody pointed out above. Only the Maoists have any significant number of people in their ranks, and even they cannot gain any territory from the central police forces. The army doesn't even bother.

On the other hand, in Pakistan, terrorist groups are stronger than the govt, hold press conferences, have their own administration and spokespeople, and even law courts. You hear news of a terrorist group suspending its "Punjab commander" for not handling the media properly, and so on. You have bearded gunmen openly roaming the streets with Kalashnikovs and RPGs, firing at visiting cricket teams and calmly going home to have tea, with nobody else able to do a thing about it.

It is not the number of terrorist groups that matter, but the size and ability of those groups. Most of the 35 "terrorist groups" in Manipur are mere extortionists, and couldn't pick a fight with the Chicago mafia or Mumbai underworld, let alone the state police forces.

Sorry, but only willful blindness can prevent you from understanding what the rest of the world knows, that most of international and domestic terrorism emanates from the land of the pure.

The rest are the same as well. Check out the names of some of those groups, and find out if you can find anything about them, any videos or news reports. These are small time extortion gangs. As I said before, the only terror group in India with significant numbers, are the Maoists - and they are all hidden deep inside jungles, and don't dare to come out into the open, except for some ambush now and then.

The islamist terror groups based in Pakistan (LeT, HM) etc are the next biggest threat, but they seldom manage to cross the border these days. And when they do, they get shot to smithereens by the Rashtriya rifles, or Jammu-Kashmir police.

Heck, some of the criminal gangs in Karachi are more more manned and gunned than the "terror groups" listed in India.
