62nd or 63rd Independence Day ????

Ok, one of my kids has his 'first' BD in a couple of months, what should i tell the people? Is it his 1st BD of the 2nd Birth-Day :undecided:
But the 1st Bday celebration :P How jobless are we?

.
 Technically 2nd Birth-day would be correct. :)

This issue is more amazing than i thought.

Yeah!

But i think we should not get into the nitty gritty of words and phrases, the count of DAYS is correct but then it would kill the purpose and the aim behind the celeberations, it is the number of years-the duration/length of period that is to be celeberated, NOT the count of the day!

i am telling them that it is his FIRST BD, hell with the technicality!

Agreed! Whether you celebrate 62 yrs of independence or 63rd Independence Day they are both the same. I was merely pointing out that our rather notorious media outlets didn’t get this one wrong after all.

And please tell them it s his first b’day lest you want him to retire a year earlier!:P

The Missing Dollar!

Three men went to a motel. The motel manager said a room cost $30, so each man put up $10 and went to their room. A little while later the manager realized the room was only $25, so he sent the bellhop back to the three guys' room with $5. On the way to the room the bellhop couldn't figure out how to split the $5 between the 3 men, so he gave each one of them $1 and he kept the other $2.

This meant that the 3 men paid $9 each for the room for a total of $27. Add the $2 that the bellhop kept = $29.

Where did the other dollar go?

(9 *3 ) - 2 = 25 which manager got

Nice to see that we have quickly come to a conclusion and a compromise. I wish we can do that for all the threads without "you kicked my dog first", etc.

Peace. :yu:
