RoPWat (Robotic Profiling for Clearing Watercourses)

The proposed research cooperation focuses on developing a 3D perception system, which can be deployed on a commercial agricultural machine (excavator or a tractor) or on board a micro aerial vehicle to assist the human operator in cleaning the canal effectively. During this project state of the art techniques from field robotics and visual mapping algorithms such as SLAM (Simultaneous Localization & Mapping) will be utilized to process sensor data from 3D laser scanners and RGB-D cameras to create precise 3D terrain profiles of the canals. The profiles will help identify defects in canal linings, locate and estimate silt accumulations and help the human operator continuously monitor the excavation operation.

AWeDeC (Automated Weed Detection in Crops)

Automatic detection of weed by means of visual classification of terrain can aid in focused effort towards its eradication (weed removal spray) and thus in reducing the yield loss. Visual classification is an inherently difficult task because of the diversity in visible characteristics of weeds. The focus of the proposed project will be on weed detection, specially in wheat fields. Algorithms like RANSAC will be used to extract plants from the background. Once the background is removed, everything else is categorized into wheat plants and other stuff. Height of the plants and average number and size of leaves will be used to determine the growth of the wheat plant. Image features like Weighted Histograms algorithms can be extracted from the images and a machine learning algorithm will be used to learn to classify the wheat plants. Image features like SIFT or SURF will be used to extract image features of weed plants. A machine learning algorithm like Support Vector Machine (SVM) will be used to train on these image features and then classify unseen examples.

You mean to say if something is not accessible to you its mean it is not exist nice logic but without prove

Um, I have access to most international journals, paid and unpaid. The ones I don't have access to are the insignificant small timers.

Artificial intelligence is another key area of research which will when combined with Mechatronics engineering prove vital for future innovation.
Can i do MS in RObotics after doing BS in MEchatronics? Also I need advice that should I go for mechatronics or software engineering?
